In November, I hired True Friends for a local move based on google reviews. Moving day arrives and 3 men show up. While 2 stood around, 1 explained insurance and other paperwork type items. Why couldn’t this have been taken care of previously? The job was underestimated for a 3-man crew. It required a 5-man crew. During the first load, while unloading at 6 PM, one of the crew said he had a family emergency and had to leave. They were not done unloading yet and still had to go back for more.
I have used TF for three moves in seven years and noticed a steady decline in quality of work. Although they had the highest quote, I decided to go with them for the latest move thinking that the most expensive would be the best. However, the move to out of state was a disaster that entailed many broken and damaged goods/furniture along with a cost overrun that pushed the original estimate of approx max of $9000 to over $13000.

had an incredibly disappointing and stressful experience with True Friends Moving Company. What was supposed to be a smooth move turned into a complete nightmare. First and foremost, several of my items were damaged—including furniture that was in perfect condition before the move. It was clear that things were not handled with care, and some boxes were even crushed. To make matters worse, a number of my boxes didn’t arrive at all.

Moving is no fun but my experience with this company was the worst! They sent two people to move two apartments of belongings. One did work hard, the other spent more time than working, on break, standing in empty room, just staring at things. I was told that move would take 4-5 hours (local move) 12+ hours later, they were not even able to complete move! Ran out of room on truck!
We truly value your feedback and wanted to take a moment to clarify a few details regarding your recent move. Your estimated time for the move was 6 hours. As stated, this was an estimate—not a guaranteed duration—as each move can vary based on specific factors.
I chose to go with this company for a local move because they told me on the initial phone call that they were one of the few moving companies who didn’t have any added extra fees or surcharges. They lied. Here are the reasons why I do NOT recommend this company for your moving needs. 1) They were not clear on what the charges were on the quote, specifically the $199 trip charge. I assumed that meant the travel time from old home to new home. It ended up being from wherever their company was located to my home.
Update: we also realized after I posted this that our turntable and 85 inch Tv are broken so total loss in our move where True Friends packed and moved our belongings less that 2 miles is $13,600. We were reimbursed around $300. Also to be clear, the response from TF states that we agreed to the resolution, which is true, because after going back and forth we were told this was our only option (cash or a used machine and a few cents per pound on items damaged even if they were negligent, which was not our…

I am so sad to have to leave this company a negative review. I have used them many times. This time was during the Covid-19. The crew was great but obviously had not been told to use protection, masks, gloves, or take any virus safety precautions. I wore a mask and asked for the six foot distance. When it was time to sign the contract, there was no other option but to touch the mover's phone.
When I booked my move I told them that we have very heavy or large furniture. Took them about 3 hours to load already packed boxes and 2 bed two bathroom furniture. They of course sent us two very scrawny guys. I also booked tv boxes and mattress covers (that didn’t even get used at all so they wasted my money) When they got to the house one of the men argued with me about not being able to unmount the tv itself (not the mount but the tv) his partner AND ztheir customer service told me that they WERE able to mount…

I had used MoveOn before and when I called, was told that they and True Friends had merged. I had such a good experience with MoveOn, I was hoping the joint venture did not disappoint....spoiler alert--experience was impeccable. They were moving our stuff to their storage unit, so this review is for the move out. Three guys and two trucks came to move us on time. We had about 90% going to their storage unit and 10% going to an apartment while we wait for our house build to complete.

True Moving company was amazing! We were moving from a 1br apt to a 2br, and though a short move, everything we had was handled with care. The two men they sent over were professional, polite and extremely helpful. We truly could not have done this without them!
