In their own words
The movers are horrible! They arrived late and damaged my items. The packing process was not how it was represented during my quote, and I've incurred over thousands of dollars in damages. I asked for the insurance information and the owner would not respond to me to submit a proper claim, after seeing the damages done to my belongings. The crew that was at my property were doing more standing around most of the time rather than paying attention to the job.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!! - 4.9 STAR RATING IS VERY MISLEADING!!!! The crew assigned to my move was hurried and extremely rough with my things, did not use any blankets to protect my belongings and were smoking marijuana and drinking (have the empty wine bottle to prove it) during my move. I am now the proud owner of a broken box spring, a broken recliner, a damaged and broken dining room table set and a damaged server.
Rented a truck for about 1 hour and ended up paying $140.15. The advertised rental price was misleading because the mileage and extra fees added up quickly. I was also charged a $25 cleaning fee without a clear explanation. Pricing should be much more transparent so customers know what they’ll actually pay. Very disappointing experience.
We are a actual moving company and we do not rent our company trucks. We have never rented a truck to a customer. You are reviewing the wrong company.
BEWARE COMPANY IS FRAUDULENT. Employees are sending threats because i complaint about how unprofessional they were. Do not do business with them. And they made a hole on my wall
This company is terrible. They are required to provide insurance, but they don't. He says the company they worked with filed for bankruptcy and they can't find another. If you want guys who show up late, your furniture damaged, your floors …
Hi Katie, Your claim was reviewed be 3 separate outside entities. In each case your claim was resolved as denied. The first dresser being roughly 70 to 90 or more years old showed no new damages.
SCAM ALERT - this company will give you a low-ball quote then charge the heck out of you. They quoted us $950 for a move from DC to Potomac. The quote was for a 2 bedroom and a den in a 1800 sqf apartment with two flights of stairs. We …

In their own words
This company was on time, responsive , had back up sent to get it done efficiently, the lead man David was on point to making sure our move went smoothly , was very professional, they didn't make any holes in new or old home , uninstalled beds and reinstalled them properly in new home and the price was reasonable.
I had a really pleasant experience using A1 movers to relocate approx. 75 miles. From start to finish, the process was seamless- Quinten had excellent response time to my inquiries and was super helpful with providing a detailed quote. The cost for overall service, (including loading their truck, wrapping delicate furniture + disassembling as needed, driving the truck, and offloading at my new home while taking extra caution not to damage any walls or railings) was very reasonable as well.
I cannot say enough amazing things about Dave, Chris, and Nick! They moved us in today, and when I tell you I’m still in disbelief — we had two hours blocked off for the move, and these men had our entire two-bedroom, two-bath home unloaded and placed perfectly in under 30 minutes. Yes… 30 minutes! Their teamwork was flawless. Every single item went into the exact room it belonged in without me having to point or follow behind them.
Moving is never fun, but A1 Moving made the entire day so easy that it actually flew by. Chris, Nick, Mike, and David were professional, hardworking, and took incredible care to protect all of our belongings. They made what could have been …
