A-1 Moving Company | Silver Spring Movers

am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional handling of our move and the complete lack of accountability from your company. Quentin Palmer is the person I booked the dates with and conversed with about the move. I was moving heavier pieces out of my home for a hardwood renovation due to a flood. We had a very expensive marble coffee table (6000.00) returned to us shattered.

Made a hole on my wall, charged their electric bike in my house without permission, crew did not pack up all my boxes and bags. Lied about the company fixing the hole they made on my wall. Never called me back about the repair. Tipped them both 20$ each for no reason. They stated that if I dispute the charge, “they know where I live”. Super unprofessional. Rushy. Talks a lot. No one cares about how many kids you have. They do whatever they want

I was given one quote over the phone and at the end of the move I was charged double. The company charges customers an hourly rate. The movers were very slow, made romantic advances and used foul language. The manager yelled at me, spoke over me and harassed me verbally when I expressed concerns. A-1 moving company puts customers last. I absolutely do not recommend this company.

This company has your review reported in order to keep a 4.9 star! DO NOT FALL VICTIM. Base boards were broken, beds weren’t built because the movers lost our screws and refused to admit the bed couldn’t be put back together. Sound bars …

I scheduled with the A1 moving company to make my move. Unfortunately, I can't give a star less than one. They weren't professionals at any time. All they did was talking about the contract, they didn't care at any time about my condition as a client and that it was moving . I tried to explain why but they didn't care. They only took half of my staff and told me that I would have to do the rest on my own, and that they were not there to help me but to make sure that I would comply with the contract.

WORSE COMPANY EVER! I was expecting professional movers that knew how to pack and transport my belongings. Please refer to the photos attached to this message. I pre-packed all my belongings so your team only could focus on moving furniture. My property was damaged; even though I packed and labeled delicate items as fragile. Furthermore, I had to move several furniture pieces myself because your team was slow and not prepared to work efficiently. They complained about the cold and how hungry they were.

Horrible Service – Damaged My Home and Took No Responsibility I had an extremely disappointing experience with A-Moving Company. Not only did they arrive late and unprepared, but their careless handling of my belongings caused real damage to my home. They dragged heavy furniture across my carpet, leaving deep stains and tears, and slammed items into the walls, leaving scratches, dents, and chipped paint. When I pointed this out to the movers, they shrugged it off and acted like it wasn’t their problem.

For the good: they were timely and provided estimate quickly. For bad: if you are looking for peace of mind when moving, then look elsewhere. If you do not enjoy paying double what was quoted, furniture falling apart when it arrives at your new home, and furniture being left behind that should have been moved, then look elsewhere.
