AB Moving

Expensive . My first time using moving companies and it was a disaster. Avoid! Horrible & unprofessional. Cost $400 to move 3.8 miles. They showed up late. Lazy Juan & another guy named Wuero who was trying his best. Both smoking. One of them broke the wood from old condo . I had to pay landlord for the damage. My weight plates are missing. I called the company's manager but she avoids my calls. She sent me the claim form after 1 month but i haven't heard back.

Do not use these movers! They use third party movers who broke our $2,000 adjustable bases and then denied our claim stating they were broken before they moved it. They were both busted beyond repair. Completely unacceptable.

Terrible overall service. I used them 2 times. First time I didn't have any issues. Even price wise (nobody likes paying lots of money). We had a 3 man crew my first time. This next time we used them, price went up. We had an offer from another company that would've ended up being about $75 less but decided on an moving due to our previous good experience. That's where it ends. The crew we got this time was terrible. Firstly, scratches all over our old apartment from moving furniture.

The same 3 guys moved us from Forney, TX to San Marcos and they put our things in storage. When they went to move all of our things out of storage, NOTHING was damaged and when they went to move my Sleep Number Split King bed base into the home, they got it all the way into the bedroom and went to turn it and cracked it right down the middle. The bed is non operable and when we did the claim, they came back and said that they were not responsible for the damages.

I contacted AB moving for a same day service. I understand that it’s hard to get movers out for same day service however. However, AB moving reassured me that they could help us same day and gave us a 1pm-4pm window. We were paying $60 extra for better insurance coverage since the coverage they had was terrible. When I first called I told Austin that we had a few end tables that needed to be moved and 2 sofas plus a concrete dining table with no chairs. He put us down for a small 1 room move.

I actually have used this company twice. The first time, the crew was amazing and completed everything in a timely manner and all of my items were safely transported to my new home. That's why we chose them to move us the second time. The second time they not only raised the rate on us despite what the quote said, the crew worked incredibly slowly and that resulted in the move taking nearly twice as long despite the fact that we had actually downsized significantly from the first move.

They arrived 50 mins late from the window I got from 10am to 1pm. They were tired when arrived and were rushing. We had everything packed and labeled. Due to them rushing my glass frames got broken and shadow boxes got broken from the glass. My husband is a veteran and we made sure all the shadow boxes were wrapped in bubble wrap. This should tell you that things were thrown down. They took smoke breaks on my dime.

Update: like I said previously I have used this company numerous times since 2019 and recommended them to everyone I knew who needed movers however after this most recent experience I will no longer be using them and will be advising everyone to stay away. Every other move they came in an AB moving truck, this time they came in the smallest U-Haul truck you can get.
