Wildcat Movers - Plano

Hired this company to move my things to a new apartment. The move is only a couple of miles, less than a 10 minute drive to the new place. They quote me for five hours of work. I’ve done all the packing myself, all they need to do is load it into the truck, move it and unload it. I move every couple of years, and five hours seems reasonable based on past experience, though I’m hoping they can get it done slightly quicker. Takes them 8 hours, over 50% longer than the quoted time.

Moved across 2 cities in Texas. All was ok until after the move. While packing up in Dallas they forgot packing up stuff in one of the baths and I was still giving them the benefit of just being a one off error. After the stuff moved here , they set up everything & left. I then noticed that all 4 pullout drawers in one of the king beds were completely crooked. None were closing completely and there were glaring gaps in both sets. Filed a damage claim and then got a call from a ‘claim person’.

Update: it has been 3 weeks since I filed my claim, for a couple damaged items, and I have been ghosted. I have reached out for updates with 0 response. I understand that things can happen during a move and that’s not my issue, my issue is with corporate and their lack of responsiveness and willingness to correct their issues. This has nothing to do with moving experience and the guys that helped, but be warned if anything does happen unexpectedly corporate will completely ignore you.

I wasn’t going to leave a review because it’s not in my nature to publicly criticize a business. But after everything that happened, and after discovering even more damage today - 6 to 7 months later…while moving my kids’ beds, I don’t want another family to go through what we did. I’ve moved multiple times over the years and have hired many moving companies. This was, without question, the worst experience I’ve ever had.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME: Only worked with Wildcat to get a quote. You cannot receive a quote from them without providing all your personal information because they will refuse to estimate services otherwise. It’s very weird; it feels very forceful—it’s as if they’re assuming you’re going to use their services. Once I jumped through their hoops to receive my estimate… they quoted me approximately $850-$900 for moving ONE bedroom of a home into a one bedroom apartment and required a 3 hour minimum labor.

Used them a few months ago. Nothing severely damaged, but lots of boxes I had to check later because they were banged up badly. Didn't move all my belongings due to truck space they had badly used. Not sure where the 5 star rating is from, very mediocre work. It was the acceptable minimum where you usually don't complain and move on with life, like a fast food chain strapped onto a gas station. Price ended up higher than the estimate and the estimate was much higher than market rate.

The price was good. The speed and support of the booking was amazing, but, I am not happy that an item was broken and another damaged, then to make a claim I had to agree to not make any negative posts online. That did not seem fair and so I never filed nor received a claim reimbursement. I had a very small move, 3 hours from start to finish. The moving guys were polite, and efficient. Things happen, I am just not happy with how it was handled.

I called for a quote and was asked personal questions that I mentioned not liking. The associate told me they didn't agree and to get over it. Wow.
