This “company” cares NOTHING about your belongings. All they care about is $$$. They broke several pieces of my platinum edged China because they did not wrap the pieces individually. They put several pieces together wrapped in one single layer of brown paper. I have several valuable pieces of art that were damaged as well. I had to go and pack one of my bathrooms myself because they didn’t. They almost left it all in the bathroom.
First off, the movers were great. They were very friendly and ready to help. What’s not so great are the hidden fees. When I hired the company years ago on 2 separate occasions, there were no hidden charges that I can recall. This time, I had to have the movers come out twice because some of the furniture required a lift. On the second trip out, there was a $100 service charge that was never mentioned.

Sunday June 24, 2018 At 12:15pm. Whoever was driving one of your company trucks, on Davis Hwy, we were pulling out of dunkin donuts and this guy merged into our lane behind us and then swerved out on to the bike lane into the grass just to cut us off. And continued to drive recklessly onto I-10 .We slowed down just so he could swerve back out of the bike lane back onto the road, which we were not at all obligated to .We couldve easily kept our pace and had him crashed into us or any other object, thus causing you…

They quoted me a price over the phone that would have been around 600.00 to 800.00 after they had almost everything loaded they told me it was going to be 2000.00. I told them I could not afford 2000.00. They basically threw my things off the truck, blocking me in the kitchen and blocking the bathroom. Never will I even think about hiring them again. After my experience I have had other tell me the same thing and one even had to file a law suit

Josh and Natalie were patient and thoughtful setting up my move. From a fair, accurate quote to answering all of my questions, I didn’t have to worry. They stayed in contact with me, so even when the weather was questionable, I knew what to expect. The Rock Star crew of movers were incredible. Anthony, Travis and Corey handled all of my furniture with great care, going downstairs from my old place and then moving it upstairs to the new place.

After speaking with multiple moving companies, brokers, brokers who said they were the movers, I was getting a bit frustrated with the process. Everyone had bad stories to say against the other and everyone I was speaking with had horrible reviews. I then went on Thumbtack and requested quotes for movers, that's where I found About The Move. I received a quote right away and a follow-up call from Tammy to go through all of the items being moved to give me a very good estimate.

Tammy came out for the site visit. She was very knowledgeable and thorough. We requested a 3 man crew of loaders from About the Move help us load a truck we rented ourselves. The team was led by Hunter and all 3 guys were great! They took great care of our items and loaded in a timely manner. I guess my only complaint which wasn’t really their fault is that the blankets we rented from the truck company were not made well so the items that were packed using those blankets got scratched.
