Stewart Moving & Storage

If we could give zero stars, we would. We just PCS'd to Norfolk, VA from FL. Our things were treated with no respect. My antique cedar chest is completely destroyed, along with our couch, antique jewelry box, shelving unit, and many other items. However I'm the most upset about my antique cedar chest... I attached two photos of it. We also now have COCKROACHES in our new home from the moving boxes. Our home had a very thorough inspection and no sign of cockroaches were ever found.

Movers were friendly and got everything inside my home in a timely manner. They were also careful about making sure not to damage any walls or the floors. They also unboxed everything for us and took care of the trash. However, they were inconsistent with bringing each item to me to be checked off of the inventory list. In result I’m missing three pairs of Jordans. I don’t want to point fingers and say that the movers stole them, but I have friends that say that has happened to them in the past.

Way overpriced! Stuart movers did a great job with the move, but they charge more than others and nickle and dime you in the "quote process." I would go elsewhere.

One of the truck drivers blocked my private road and was rude when I asked him to move. I can’t even leave my road when I have errands to run. And now I’ve missed trash day because the trash truck couldn’t get by. Now I’m stuck without trash pickup……. Thanks Stewart. Update…. She seemed to be the only one in this company concerned with the problem I was having.

I haven't had the dubious pleasure of hiring Stewart Moving. I have, though, had the misfortune of one of their moving vans run through my yard, damaging the grass and two (2) sprinkler heads.I managed a brief encounter with an individual who claimed to be the driver in question, after my 20 yr old daughter had located the team unloading the freight in our subdivision was was told that the damage to our yard was the liability of living in a subdivision, I made contact with the carrier that Stewart is an Agent of…

Packing crew mislabeled a number of boxes and just threw random things in boxes. They even spelled my name wrong on a bunch of boxes (multiple different names), but they were fast to the task. Loading crew was good on loading items quickly, but their unloading was frustrating when it came to unpacking items. They literally dumped boxes on the floor in the areas of the boxes label. I let the driver know once I saw the pile of stuff in rooms and it kinda got better but not really.

Not a fan at first I thought they were cool even when one of the packers spent most of his time on plenty of fish I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they packed our 100 year old trunk full of household goods the movers assured me that the less space unused the best when our household goods arrived in Japan we realized that packing strategies was to make them money not to respect or protect our stuff The packer packed half a can of wet cat food so if you could imagine the smell after being on the boat for 2…

This move was the worst I have ever had. These movers broke our belongings and also lost a box of clothes—professional expensive clothes! We will never recover the financial loss of hiring these people! Shame on you for treating military this way! How do you lose a large box of clothes????? This is unacceptable!
