We have used this company many times in the past and will never again. My wife and I could smell the distinct smell of Marijuana being used when the workers were outside. This is most likely why so many of our items were damaged. They destroyed many items from our home including walls, a four thousand dollar elliptical mach, a new portable air conditioner, broke the legs off our freezer, disassembled items and lnever put them back together, and lost screws and bolts.
I used this company to move my furniture from Wilmington to Charlotte and had damaged items and missing item. I paid for the extra insurance and was told by Vicky that once I have finished unpacking to put in a claim, which I did. After 2-3 …
If I could leave 0 stars i would. I was moved last August/2024 by this company. They had a new guy helping. He was very nice but very slow. I was charged 300 dollars more due to the extra time it took. I even jumped in and started throwing things off the truck because of how long these guys were taking. I told them we have got to get this done. I spoke to older guy was there in charge and he said well he's new.
I want to share my experience so others can make an informed decision before hiring this moving company. I was originally quoted $919 over the phone by Shawn, and I budgeted based on that number. When moving day arrived, Justin and Ricky showed up and immediately mentioned that the job had been underbid and that it really should have had three movers. Justin told me the total would likely be closer to $1,200, and I agreed to that amount. Justin and Ricky themselves were kind, respectful, and hardworking.
Picked this place because it had all 5 star reviews. I’ve moved a ton because I’m military and I’ve never had this happen before. First I’ll say: This company is extremely professional. Everyone I’ve encountered was friendly and nice. However, the errors they made turned an already stressful situation even more stressful. First, they miscalculated my total and overcharged me $200. After discussing with the front desk, they immediately refunded it - but I didn’t need that added to my todo list.

We used Absolute to move our stuff out of the house and back in. We stored everything on site. They used the same care as if I was moving across the country. On time, super nice and fast and careful. I’ve already recommended them to a friend. Strong recommendation. I will definitely use this company again!
I can't say enough about how happy we are with Absolute Movers from NC. They moved a very heavy Italian lava table from NC to the DC area for us without a hitch! The crew, Justin, Aaron and Landon were terrific and very professional, they took great care with our table which needs to be transported and handled carefully like glass. They set up the base and moved/adjusted the table top carefully making sure it was in just the right place.
Justice and Scott, moving experts and actual saints, moved us over 200mi yesterday during which one of our cars broke down, it was raining, and when we got to the new place some paperwork was missing and they had to wait on me for a whole hour to start unloading. The entire time they were so professional, understanding, and kind. They even unloaded all our stuff in an organized way that’s easy to unpack, even after all the hurdles and hardships. Hardest workers with even better attitudes, 1,000/10 would recommend!
Had a great experience with them and I would call them again. I normally have rented a Uhaul and hired moving helpers from Uhaul and have been very disappointed by the experience here in NC. This time I decided last minute to call some local movers and Shawn booked me in the schedule for the next day. Crew was friendly and professional, they took extremely good care of my belongings. They knew how to load the truck well and worked quickly. Previous movers had dragged out the day which cost me a lot more.
