Troy Humphrey Moving & Storage

THE WORST. My husband was honorably discharged from the military and we decided to move back home. While we were building our new house, the Marine Corps contracted Troy Humphrey Moving & Storage to remove our belongings from base housing and store them in Jacksonville, NC for about 9 months. The ladies who packed our breakables did an excellent job. And they're the only ones who did. The men who moved our furniture scratched and broke much of it while taking it out of the house.

Horrible experience for a service member. Picture this, you get back from 6 months of the pacific heat. You spent your entire time out there sweating working 10-12 hours daily. You see the truck that loaded your things up pull in front of your barracks. You walk to the drivers side in anticipation of just having the process be smooth and fast. You are met with a middle aged man going through what could be described as a midlife crisis, a massive attitude and overall generally rude.

If I could give 0 starts that would not be low enough. They are thieves, and stole all of my wife's jewelry, we even had it in a separate room they were told to stay out of. I was wondering why one of them needed to leave so urgently in the middle of the day. Also, the crew leader they sent was the slowest human I have ever seen. He admitted he was going to pack slow in order the extend the packing into a second day. If you are in the military and they assign this company for your PCS. STOP. Get another company.

The movers moved all of my things into my home and told me I had the option to let them unpack or let me unpack and they collect the debris at a later date. I opted to unpack. At the end while signing the paperwork, they told me I was out of their normal operating area and that they would not be able to pick up the debris unless I contacted customer service. Ultimately, I’ve been left with all the boxes from the moving company and now I need to find someone to collect it all.

I use them once and they were great. After 3 years I had to move again. They were overpriced it's all a gimmick! You start paying when they leave their building. You stop paying when they return to the building. They juice you when they work 10 minutes over and you have to pay for a full hour. I paid for 3 hours that 1st time but it dud not take 3 hours to move me.

BAD, BAD, BAD! The service was expensive and the quality poor. Items were lost, some broken and some furniture wasn't fully put together. It took forever to submit a claim and get the broken items replaced. Very superficial service, I don't …
