This moving company is an absolute joke and a nightmare to work with. They managed to turn my daughter’s move into a disaster from start to finish, and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. First off, the drivers were supposed to pick up her items early in the morning, but they didn’t even bother showing up until late at night. By the time they finally finished, it was close to midnight. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful of her time.

I strongly recommend avoiding Across State Relocation in Fort Lauderdale. My experience was a complete nightmare. After reviewing videos and an inventory of my belongings, they provided a quote, signed a contract, and accepted my deposit. However, on moving day, the crew arrived two hours late and increased the price by approximately $7,000, claiming I needed two trucks. The inexperienced crew damaged walls, doorways, furniture, and other belongings during loading.

This was the most unpleasant experience ever. The initial quote from a very nice salesman sold me on this small, family owned company. I gave him a list of every item I had. When I paid the deposit I told him I would have 3 additional boxes and 3 suitcases. He said it would still fall within his small unit move allowed. What followed was lie after lie. Scheduled pick up was 10 am. They showed up at 7pm. Charged me $400 because I went over allowed cubic feet.

we recently used this company for our relocation. Once we gave our original down payment, it quickly became all smoke and mirrors. We finally got a date when they would pick up our stuff and we told them when we needed it delivered. They told us that should be no problem and yet when that date came, we receive no call and the packages were not delivered. We later received a call from them after many messages left by us and they scheduled a date a week later.

Was given a quote of 3 to 10 days to move my belongings. Finally got an answer after calling 3 times this week that my belongings are still 3 to 5 days away making it over 3 weeks! Received 0 communication. Was also charged $500 more than originally quoted for extra space used which tells me their crew doesn't know how to pack because I didn't have that many things. Very disappointed. EDIT: I'd give 0 stars if I could. Terrible communication. Have had to call multiple times to get ahold of anyone.

When I spoke with the salesperson, I should have remembered the old saying: “If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.” The price they initially gave me seemed unusually low, and I now believe it was just a tactic to secure my business. While we did add two additional items to the move, that should not have accounted for an extra $1,200. The salesperson assured me they were not a third party and handled all moves themselves, which turned out to be untrue.

I had a horrible experience. Moved from Atlanta to NJ and was quoted one price which changed at the time of pick-up. The marketing manager promised delivery in 5-7 days because it was during the Christmas period. After multiple calls with vague promises, the truck arrived well over two weeks later with ONE guy who spoke only Russian. I was not told that I had to pay cash and it was a Sunday. I had to Zelle the money to the driver before he would get off the truck to unload.

My family has had an awful experience dealing with this company’s unprofessional, dishonest, and illegal practices. In early may we signed a contract with them to deliver some furniture from TN to TX, with specific terms to guarantee delivery on 5/29. We picked them over competing quotes (and paid much more) specifically because of this written guarantee in the contract offered by their salesperson.
