I went with AD movers because I felt their pricing was the best. However my experience with them was unprofessional. When it came to the move I hired three movers. One mover removed the protective covering I put on my couch cushion and was letting the cushion go out on a dolly into the wet street with puddles, until I stopped him. He also was on his phone numerous times throughout the move. Or carrying the bare minimum every time I saw him.
Rachael, thank you for your feedback. I'd like to respectfully add our account of the day. Before the move I called to let you know rain was forecast and offered to reschedule at no cost; you preferred to go ahead.
I hired AD Movers for a long distance move from New Orleans to Raleigh, NC. I had an expensive and irreplaceable family 20+ year old chair break (and they refused to fix it, or reimburse me. Owners response is he has never filed an insurance claim and simply didn’t want to). The leg of the chair snapped off. I also had other smaller things break, like Christmas ornaments, which I told the mover was a valuable box.
Michael, thank you for your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience and that some of your belongings were damaged during the move from New Orleans to Raleigh. We know how stressful moving long-distance can be, especially when it involves items with sentimental value.
They charge you a 50.00 booking fee then it tells you they will contact you which never happened. When I called to verify my move they said cannot accommodate the time I need. We rebooked for the following afternoon causing me to pay an additional day for the truck. I found someone else to unload and called them back to cancel. He actually asked me if I had a scheduled move. When I said I did, but had someone unload already. I asked if they would return ten 50.00 and he said “no” that is nonrefundable.

This moving company was the best yet that Ive worked with in New Orleans and I’ve used 4 others. It was raining during our original scheduled time. The manager kindly offered to reschedule me for the afternoon to avoid everything getting wet! The guys, 2 of them, showed up on time and were well prepared! The truck was big and had brought many options for moving/lifting equipment. This expedited the process. They were very careful with my things and well organized.

These guys were fabulous and I highly recommend them!! They were professional and polite. I was anxious about shipping all my belongings to Australia, but they packed everything up in boxes and loaded my container and showed me how it was all secured to ease my worries. These guys are Top Notch at getting the job done. We had literally one day to move due to Me and my husbands day off. It started off with a little hiccup-nothing that they had any control over. Our moving trucks transmission went out before arrival. They sent a moving van out with 2 Professional Movers. It was burning up outside. They successfully moved our very heavy items without damaging them or damaging either properties (our old place to the new one).

We had a wonderful experience with A D Movers! We had to move locally and packing in itself is stressful but from the moment the movers arrived they greeted us warmly and went right to work on moving our 1 bedroom apartment. We had some big items that they moved with ease and nothing was broken in the process. Carlos was wonderful and very personable and so were the other two movers (sorry I forgot your names!).
