KEEP IT MOVING - New Orleans

I would not recommend Keep It Moving based on my experience\. I hired this company through Restore and was quoted **$168 per hour**\. They also changed the hourly rate on the final invoice when the job was completed\. Not the same price they quoted me\! I was charged 208\.00 an hour\. Instead of receiving the professional service I expected, I experienced repeated delays, multiple breaks by the moving crews, incomplete work, and what I believe to be excessive and unexplained billing\.

This company has the right name “Keep it Moving” that’s exactly what I should’ve done before booking this company to move me. First off the 3 guys the company sent out were late and when they did arrive these guys were so unprofessional with thee exception of one but the other two went on break at the very beginning of the move lacked around for a good 45mins before they actually got to work,They were complaining about the furniture being to heavy and even broke my mirror table & messed up my floors.I called into…

They sent their office administrator who couldn’t lift heavy boxes or furniture and was double timing by doing office work**** Please read this if considering this company. I hired them because they quoted an affordable price - I only needed 1 mover for about an hour but agreed to their 2 mover 2 hour minimum. I also did not need their truck or transportation services. Upon their arrival it was clear that they only sent one mover.

I want to be fair and say that the actual movers who came out were professional and worked hard. My issue is not with their effort during the move. My concerns are mainly with the communication, billing clarity, and follow-up from the company. I booked Keep It Moving for a move on April 24, 2026. Before the move, I called LEIGHANN because I was concerned that no one had asked for measurements of the machine, the doorway, or anything else needed to properly prepare for the job.

I will preface this review by saying I moved 7 times in New Orleans and 5 times internationally. After convincing me to pay booking fee. This company called me the day before my move saying that they have overbooked the day of my move and double booked my appointment. I have been trying to reach their manager for 2.5 hours during the stress of a move and after having a confirmed booking.

This moving company was hired in advance (May 2022) and they failed to show up on the agreed date, despite many calls and assurances that all would work out as I had a narrow window of time to move out of a place and into another. They kept saying "a few more hours" and no one showed up. I missed work. I didn't have a place to stay that night. They said they were scrambling to send two men over first thing in the morning and they didn't show up within the time frame promised. They didn't answer their phone.

On December 29, 2023, I used Keep It Moving for my move to the Warehouse District in New Orleans. The positive of my experience with this company has been Candace who quickly and efficiently set up my moving date and movers. Unfortunately, upon arriving in our new place my husband noticed large scrapes and tears on our brand new couches and our book case had collapsed. We notified the movers and informed them we were more concerned about the damages that occurred to the couches.
