My mother hired this moving company to help transfer some items from a storage unit to my late grandmother’s house. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. One mover in particular was unprofessional and rude, making unnecessary comments about some of our belongings that were damaged. They accused us of complaining about the price when we were simply asking for clarification on charges, and even threatened to cancel the appointment.
We very recently (July, 2022) booked a moving date with Affordable Movers 6 weeks in advance of actual move date, moving from San Angelo to Midland, TX. Paul & Denise came to our home in Bentwood to confirm moving appraisal. We discussed cost, date, moving details, etccc. $1250 cash on day of move & $1250 cash next day of delivery. The day before our moving date, Paul called & cancelled. I have since learned Affordable Movers has a reputation of cancelling at the last minute with no valid reason.
When I first contacted them, I was told that my cost would include 4 men and that my move should not take more than 3 to four hours (including what was in my house and storage room). On the morning of the move, they did not show-up at the prescribed time. I had to take some of the blame for that, as I did not contact them the day before to confirm the appointment. I was told by Denise they were running behind because they had worked late the previous night.

These people are absolutely rude. My family hired them to help move things, and they were rude the ENTIRE TIME. making unnecessary comments, and bad attitudes all the way around. I called to speak to the manager or whoever could help me, and the person on the phone was no better than their moving crew. I called to tell her what my family had experienced and before i could finish my sentence she said “okay, and u left us a one star so what more is there to speak about” assuming I was my sister who her team had…
These are the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. They scheduled a delivery for Thursday. Called on Wednesday and said they had to deliver. When I told them no one would be available to meet them ,they said ok they would reschedule. I arrived home to find the items they were delivering piled in my driveway.
Cancelled on us at the last minute too! They wouldn't even re-schedule. Paul said that they would not be doing our move and hung up on me. Because we were dealing with a deadline, we had to pack most of this ourselves. This was even more …

Affordable on opposite day... They quoted me 2700$ for a 270 mile single box truck move. The company I went with charged 1000$ less
This is not a legitimate customer review. This is likely a competitor trying to smear our name. First, you called and stated you were a CDL driver wanting a quote for a lady on another line, that raised a red flag automatically.

I can't say enough great things about Affordable Movers! From start to finish, the entire process was fast, stress-free, and incredibly professional. They showed up on time, packed everything with care, and had the items loaded and unloaded in no time. The guys were friendly, strong built, and seriously good-looking what more could you ask for in a moving crew? Denise was so helpful and kind, she went out of her way to help us find the cheapest option for our move. The movers were so kind, respectful, fast, and gentle with our belongings! I’ve never worked with movers who have cared as much as these men did! I highly recommend Affordable Movers, and will be using them again when we return to San Angelo!
I’ve used affordable movers every time I’ve had to move anything! They are awesome! Very respectful! They treat your belongings as if it’s theirs! Everyone is always kind & professional!
