This moving company “helped” my family move, and when their truck arrived with their very valuable and personal belongings, a LOT of items were damaged, not packed accordingly, and frankly, not organized in the slightest. When showing these movers the damages immediately upon arrival, they told my parents they would be compensated a small amount. Which is nothing compared to how much was damaged.

They never answer their phone. When I could finally get ahold of them, they originally scheduled a move that was much later than I wanted becaue they claimed "they were too booked up". Finally went with someone else. Tried to be nice and give Affordable Moving a call to cancel the move. They still didn't answer their phone. I left a message telling them to cancel the move and they never called back to confirm. I get that you are busy, but you lost my business by being so inattentive.

I have no complaints about the movers, they did a great job. The company itself though has a lot of hidden fees that I was not made aware of. I reached out for a quote several months in advance. I was told the hourly rate for 2 movers …
Very slow and inefficient!! They did not use a dolly, even though there was a big one here available for them to use. They carried many things one at a time. And it was NOT affordable. Because of their slowness, our bill was extremely high. I’m giving them two starts because they eventually got the job done, and they were nice guys.
They arrived unprepared. Many of our things were broken or marred. Did not compensate for damages. Advertise Veteran Discount, but did not honor this as advertised. Very disappointed.

Affordable Moving helped us with our move into Harrisburg, SD, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Their communication was excellent from start to finish, and they were very flexible in working around our schedule. The team was hardworking, professional, and built a great rapport with us throughout the process. They asked questions to make sure everything went exactly where we wanted it and were more than willing to help in any way they could.
Had a great experience with Affordable Moving. I hired them to help me move an Island from my garage to another house's basement. They showed up early and stayed positive through what turned out to be a very heavy, difficult move. The team was great and the price was very affordable. I would highly recommend them.
Affordable Moving was great to work with. Their staff was very careful and courteous with our things. They are efficient as well. I’ve used them on my last two moves and will use them again in the future if needed.
Face it, moving isn't easy, especially for a couple of new senior citizens leaving a place where they've lived for 24 years to a new city in a new state. From the first phone inquiry to the final item coming off the truck, this move was a positive experience. Friendly and efficient service, together with clear directions for us, and timely answers to all our questions really allowed the process to move smoothly.
