3 of the 38 ratings in Google’s published star breakdown for Alder Moving Services, Fort Bragg are one or two star.

In their own words
Confirmed and scheduled twice, including two phone conversations with Jason. On the day of the move, he simply did not show up. No call, no notice, no explanation. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable business practice. I would not recommend this mover.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
Alder is the absolute best moving company of the five we have contracted with over the years. Jayson, the owner, is very responsive and kind. We had "the works" for them: lived on a steep hillside with multiple stories and levels. They had to pack & take everything either downstairs or upstairs or both. Our driveway was too steep & narrow for the larger moving van, so they had to load the smaller truck, drive it downhill, and unload - numerous times over several days.
Hi Nancy, thank you so much for your great review, it nearly left me speechless. Just like they have the reviews for services providers there should be a place to review customers, you and John are a solid 5 stars.
I was delighted at how prompt and careful the men of Alder Moving were. They were fast, friendly, paid attention to detail, and took EXACTLY the amount of time they said they would take. It was such a relief to see the care they took when moving my items collected over a lifetime. I recommend you call them if you need moving services- they're THE BEST!!!
Thank you Mondra. I am so glad we were able to help you with your move once again and cheers to this next chapter.
These guys are AMAZING. After a nightmare of an experience moving from Redding to Fort Bragg, CA this company was a breath of fresh air. They’re fast, professional, not too serious, other than taking their job seriously! We’ve used them twice now, to move our storage unit into our home we purchased, and now moved our stuff from our rental into our forever home! They’re fast and efficient and provide so many services! If we ever need furniture built or rooms moved we’ll hire them again and again without hesitation.
Thank you Breana for the positive review and your continued support of Alder Moving. Please keep us in mind for any future moving needs.
Outstanding service and excellent communication. Jason was always available for our questions and his crew did great! They were hardworking and very carful with all of our belongings. The crew was soft spoken and always extremely polite. They worked quickly, but never seemed in a hurry to leave. It was a very large project. We are completely satisfied, and Alder was very competitively priced.
Thank you Bob for the great review, it was a pleasure being able to assist with your move to the coast. Indeed, it was a large project and I belieieve it might hold the record for most plants on a move. Both Barbara and yourself were … More
