Last week I moved from Fremont to Alameda. Brother Movers were tasked with moving my furniture and boxes. The loading process went relatively smoothly. The movers didn't speak English but that was fine as long as everything was on track. The load took as long as I was expecting (they charge hourly, going quickly is important), so I left to let them finish tying down their load. I arrived in Alameda about 45 minutes before they did (they charged for this time).

I had a frustrating experience with this packers and movers service. Their charges were quite expensive compared to what was initially expected, and they only accept cash, which was inconvenient. Communication was also very difficult. They relied on Google Translate for almost every conversation, which significantly slowed things down and made coordination harder than it should have been. Another issue was how they handled parking during the move.
Terribly unorganized when packing. Suits and dress shoes are shoved into a box all crumbled together. Items from different rooms are mixed into different trash bags. Took two days to move from a 2bd 1000sf condo to a ground floor storage unit. On the second day, starting with everything already in the truck. It still took almost 8 hrs for two movers to finish moving into a storage unit. It took 3 movers from another company 3hrs to move the same items from storage to my new house on the second floor.

I have used a few other moving companies and I had heard of big brother movers as they are very close to where I lived in Fremont. We heard and saw good reviews so we booked, they were flexible with move out time. However on the day of the move out they came pretty late, which wasn’t too big of an issue at first but after seeing the wrapping compared to other companies I was not impressed. I have a lot of plants and other companies can see that it is important to me, they usually have wrapped the plants.
BEWARE!!! THEY LIE ABOUT PRICING UP FRONT!!! This company used to be reasonable. Now they load on fees at the end of the move! A 3.5 hour move was almost $1,000! Total rip off!!! This is my fourth move with them and I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!
