All My Sons Moving & Storage

This is THE WORST moving company that I have ever used!!!! I will not recommend ANYONE to use them. They added a bunch of fees that were not originally quoted, for stuff that I did not want nor ask for. The original quote was $350 and I ended up paying $800 after fees of them having to wrap EVERY item & the hourly charge. They did not tell me this was a policy when they quoted it, but when they were already at the house. They charged me for 3 movers, which they said would take less time.

They stole so much from me I don’t know if I can list it all!!! Then when I called the company they said they would send me out a claim form, but we all know that never happened!! They took pictures, to boxes of clothes, to things of my deceased mothers that I will never be able to replace! To even things that where my 11 year old sons.. what makes matters worse, my son and I were homeless for 8 months with very little left from coming out of a domestic violence situation.

Update: Even though “We deserve the absolute best,” as commented on my review by AMS. No one has reached out to us directly to make anything better. They don’t care who they screw over. And AMS, the only stress I experienced during our moving process was working with your company. If you are reading this review, please choose another moving company to work with. Sad part is, I gave 1 star because of the company. I would have given the movers 5/5 stars. We had four guys, and they were quick and respectful.

My second encounter with All My Sons was a complete disaster. The movers showed up an hour and 45 minutes late, citing a need to refuel when I called to inquire. Their lack of proper planning also led to clearance issues with bridges, causing further delays. Upon finally arriving, they informed me they didn't have the necessary tools to disassemble my bed and initially refused to take it. It took an hour of insistence and a manager's intervention, Shawn, to bring the tools needed.

While the workers were respectful.They obviously had little experience or training in packing and moving antiques and large tool boxes. The company doubled the amount we were to pay from their bid on the move. They waited until they had one of the trucks half loaded to inform us of this. We were able to negotiate some lowering of the cost, but they dropped the number of trucks to be used.

*My boyfriend and I both wrote the same review because of how upset we are Although I thought I initially had a good experience, very shortly after the movers left we noticed multiple items damaged. It would be one thing to not be aware of small damages, but I had a mini Starbucks fridge completely broken into big chunks that was caused by the movers, and they angled the fridge away from me while moving it into our new apartment so I would not see the obvious damage while they were still there.

We paid $502 to have 5 pieces of furniture moved from one house to our place. An add'l $150 for them to dispose of our old couch. The whole reason this came about was the couch; the other pieces were icing on the cake. It was the couch I wanted. It was brought in all wrapped up in cellophane which I thought was kinda odd since that was not done for the chair/ottoman (other 2 pieces were wood). It looked good but no one sat on it while the movers were there. Even tipped them!

My move was scheduled on a Tuesday. The window I was given was between 12-3.. Three o'clock came and went and heard nothing from them. So I called them. They said I should hear from them soon. Forty-five minutes passed and nothing so called them back. They said they should be calling. Another hour; again nothing. Third call talked to two people before I found out that the movers were two hours away and couldn't get to my job on that day. The movers said they had let the office know this.
