STAY AWAY! This company understaffs their moves, has horrible customer service, extremely poor professionalism, and terrible communication. I originally booked this company after reading the 5-star reviews. Patrick came over for an in-person estimate a month and a half before the move and we agreed to a binding estimate. This company was only responsible for moving furniture. My husband and I had previously packed ALL boxes which we loaded into a U-Haul ourselves.
6/5/26-- UPDATED REVIEW-- We are currently 3 weeks post-move date and I am unfortunately updating my review from 5 stars down to 1. Hopefully Kentuckiana Moving can resolve the issues. We were encouraged to leave the 5 stars as soon as they left, which we did. But it is not 5 stars as is. 1) The truck backed in to my son's car and damaged it. We were assured by the owner on the phone this would be remedied by a mechanic the following week. Still crickets and no response.

It would be easier to say what went right with our move then to list everything that went wrong. The only thing that went right is our stuff got from point a to point b Communication was limited and updated once move started non existent They did not properly pack and pad any of our TV sets and all three ended up with cracked and/or scratched screens. This included a TV that was barely a year old.
I am very disappointed with my experience with Kentuckiana Moving LLC. Prior to moving day, we did a significant amount of the work ourselves. Our beds were already disassembled, and most of our belongings were packed and staged in the garage, ready to be loaded. We were quoted $2,000–$2,300 if the movers did not have to pack for us, and approximately $3,308 if we left everything for the movers to pack and handle. The final cost was over $4000. The movers texted me at 9:00 a.m.

I am very dissatisfied with Kentuckiana Movers located in New Albany Indiana. I initially spoke with Justin, and we discussed the size of my home, how much furniture I had, and I explained that absolutely everything in the home was to be moved to the new house. He was able to see everything, and assured me it would all be handled. He gave me an estimate of $1800, with a 6-8 hour time frame for moving, utilizing two trucks and four men. I agreed and placed my deposit.
We previously used Kentuckiana Moving Company in 2022 and had an excellent experience, which is why we chose them again for our recent move. Unfortunately, this experience was completely different and incredibly disappointing. We paid over $7,000 for what was supposed to be a full-service move that included packing, moving everything out of our previous home into storage, and then delivering everything to our new home from storage. Given the level of service we received, it was a complete waste of money.

Moved from Kentucky to Florida. Scheduled well in advance to pick up June 29th and deliver to home in Florida July 1st at 9am. Received call evening of the 31st saying they were still in Kentucky, owner added another job to fill truck. Would delay them until the 2nd, first thing. Tried to call Jonathon, the owner. He never returned my calls. Long story and many calls from driver later, received furniture on the 3rd. Had 2 days of someone in Florida scheduled to help once furniture delivered.
EDITED REVIEW!! AFTER THEY MOVED US INTO THE NEW HOUSE!!! READ THIS!!! I started out loving the co. So my 1st review sounds amazing.. when they were moving our stuff out and we could watch them everything was amazing. When we got our stuff back omg! ALL of my TVS were broke, a pie safe my husband has MADE for me had an entire leg broken off completely off.. not sure how that even happens, 3 other pieces of furniture were broken, multiple items in boxes, and we had things bubble wrapped!
It’s disappointing to see this review edited from a 5-star to a 1-star after we went out of our way to accommodate you and your family on short notice. We moved you into storage on March 10th and delivered your belongings on March 15th—a five-day turnaround, not "weeks" as claimed.

Pros: Ray, Dee and "Frenchie" were so professional!! They handled our items with kit gloves. They were on time, courteous, and their customer service was on spot! They were quick in loading yet very careful. Friendly!! Cons: The walk through during the free estimate to see how long it would take, how many trucks it would take, and manpower was WAY OFF. There was only 3 workers and 1 truck (26'). Should have been 2 trucks and 4 men, as we have a lot of items (4 br, 2 car garage).
Best movers you will find. Fair price, great communication, and perfect for a long distance move. Cory was great with the estimate, and Sam and Terrance were professional, fast, and efficient to load and move everything. Would highly recommend and request them both again. Cannot thank Sam and Terrance enough for making it a super smooth and easy process to move, especially since this is the first time I have ever used a moving service and moved long distance.

Overall, we would recommend this company for local moving. The team worked fast, they wrapped every piece of furniture and handled items gently for the most part. Their pricing was reasonable. The team of 5 that did our move was very polite and knew what they were doing. They had quite the system down and worked well together as a team. I don’t think there was a single square foot of dead air apace on that truck; expertly packed and loaded.

These very nice guys moved my grandmother's 100 year old converted player piano UP A FLIGHT OF STAIRS and then from Louisville, Kentucky to Brownsburg, Indiana. The whole process from start to finish was extremely professional, with clear communication every step of the way, from my initial inquiry, to the estimate, to moving day itself. They protected my home's hardwood floors from scratches, and had the piano wrapped extremely thoroughly.
