Alma Movers delivered a complete nightmare of an experience, from deceptive sales to outright destruction of belongings and relentless billing harassment. Deceptive Sales and Hidden Fees They promised two free months of storage—a major reason I chose them—only to switch to one month at signing. Hidden fees emerged everywhere, like charges for every 75 feet from truck to apartment door (even inside my apartment) and flights of stairs billed every 7 steps at $50 a pop, despite the salesperson quoting every 12 steps.

If could give negative stars I would. Do not use this company to move long distance for the love of God. They have the worst communication I have ever experienced with any company or service I've ever paid for. I was sold by promises of a quick and simple move accross the country, by the salesman Kris, but that was a complete lie. I paid them to move my belongings from central florida to Colorado. The first pick up was 3 days late, and the second pickup was one week after that.

Honestly cannot express how terrible my first cross country move went with them (FL to CO). Nothing was properly explained, let alone getting in touch with them is so hard. Communication between them and dispatch terrible, but them calling me back or responding to an email or voice mail , even worse. Forget any estimates they give you cause I ended up paying 1k more than the estimate .. they picked up my stuff and THEN gave me a contract to sign for them and I did sign one for the broker company I used..

Absolutely do not hire this company. They will promise you very big things and deliver on none of it. I’ll be lucky to receive my belongings from them within their claim of “30 business days”. They have the worst customer service I’ve personally ever dealt with. I paid them in full for delivery and still don’t have my stuff or know where it is. Every time you call asking they have no answers or lie right to you. They won’t even answer the phone 70% of the time.

I already did a review about how bad they are.. an update is now is being 44 days and still have not received my stuff and they don't know where it is.... they told me to wait and they give a insignificant discount for the tardiness (like I care about that)... to this point I don't know if I will ever get my stuff... I've been trying to reach them without response... I tried their instagram account and they deleted my comment there and also blocked me... which means they have no intent to fix their mess.....

We hired Alma Moving to move our belongings from Charlotte, NC to Norfolk, VA (only a 5-hour distance). Before signing, their representative promised delivery within 1–3 days. Based on this, we signed. • After pickup on August 15, nothing arrived within 3 days. • Then they told us 7 days. Still nothing. • Later, they claimed our belongings were “on the way,” but weeks passed. Today it has been 25 days, and we still don’t know where our belongings are. They never respond to emails, only through BBB.

Terrible experience-- Hidden fees, terrible communication, breach of contract. - I got my item picked up August 22nd with a contract starting they would be deliver in a month.... I have still not received my items with no word from Alma. I have called x7 since they missed the initial delivery date and each time they tell me "your items are being processed/loading they should arrive in 3-7 days" .(My air tag still has my order placed in a storage unit at my original location).
