American Moving & Storage was referred to me by SerPro (Richmond Hill) to move my furnishing and furniture to the SerPro facility in Richmond Hill. The crew was unprofessional and and not working as a team. The women workers were commenting on my shoes and how much they like certain items. I had to stop an employee from sliding my heavy nightstand across my hardwood floors. She said she was sliding it because it was too heavy. I told her that she should have one or two of the guys help or use a pad!
Stay away from this company! we scheduled a move from Warner Robins GA to Pensacola Fl "Norm" as the guy called himself promised it would be picked up and delivered same day, which was first lie. Received a text on Friday before move saying truck would be at our house next day between 2-6. we called them and explained we were told we were told it would be picked up and delivered same day. They told us they could not guarantee us that, that it was up to driver.
Brian, You have the wrong comapny, we have not done business with you. Please contact us if we can assist you with finding the right company and explain what options you have to hold them accountable.
I would be extremely careful about using this company. They subcontract the actual move to other contractors. Even though the movers did a nice job, I was very disappointed with American moving's customer services. We had set a date to have the furniture delivered on December 29. We thought that was the date that we needed to be at the house where we were moving. We changed our travel plans to be there. When the movers did not arrive I called customer services and was told the movers had 2-10 days from that date.
Mr. Sears, We regret that you had a bad experince with your move but your move was not with us. We have not had any communication with you and did not have anything to do with your move.
If I could give them ZERO stars I would. I have moved over 15 times in my life and many of those moves were cross country. Most went well and not many issues. But the move that American Moving & Storage did for me was a team that did not know how to load & unload as American uses part time temps to get their costs down with no training.
Run, don't walk, RUN away from this company. The moved us 15 minutes away from one location to another, broke the leg on our brand new couch, didn't take everything we asked and then charged our credit card on a SATURDAY for twice the amount we agreed on. I left them a message on a Thursday to say I wanted to discuss the situation, no one returned my call and then I get the "paid in full" bill on Saturday. Absolute crooks, and I still have items I now have to move on my own.
We express our sincere regret for any inconvenience caused during your move. It was communicated during Dee's pre-move survey that loose items would either be packed or moved by yourself. However, we offer packing services to ensure the safety of the items during transportation.
Nicole does not Promise what she says she will do to complete her tasks. She puts blame on any potential client for the reason why she does not reach out. When I wanted to reserve a date and be put on a waitlist for any earlier availability, she canceled my original date. It is May and I can clearly tell she doesn’t want to do business because she says there’s no availability now until August. If a manager can read this, please take a look if there is no availability until then for just moving one bedroom.
If I cod leave Can leave a 0 star for this company I woulds I was quoted a little over $6,300 and was told that the company would be here to pick up my goods between 8 and 11 a.m. to start off the company outsources their bids to other companies I had a third party company show up to do the moving and was told that my bid was going to double.
Hello, We are sorry to hear about your experience but you may have us mistaken for another company. We do not, nor ever have outsourced to any third parties. All trucks, equipment and crew clearly and proudly display our logo and other identifying information. Our managers supervise each move.
Worst experience ever. This is a 3rd party moving service full of false advertising. The company in which they hired for us broke our washing machine and refuses to pay for any damages. DO NOT USE!!!!

I can’t say enough positive things about these guys. This is my second move using them and I couldn’t be more pleased. They were on time. They worked so well together and were very efficient with their time! I was shocked at how much they accomplished with so little breaks. They communicated great both with each other and with us. From the initial set-up to the final payment, everything was super easy and professional. You seriously can’t go wrong with these guys.

We had an excellent experience with the leadership and moving team at American Moving & Storage. From planning stages to the ‘big day’ we carefully coordinated all the details of our move, and it proved to be a success. They visited both sites and ensured that they understood all the possible challenges and worked out logistics beforehand for any difficult items. Best of all that information was relayed to the team there on the day so there were no surprises.

Called American Moving & Storage to inquire about an upcoming move, and they were incredibly prompt in coming out to provide an estimate. Nicole was very thorough, taking pictures and detailed notes to ensure everything was accounted for. Their estimate was extremely reasonable, so we decided to move forward with them. Kevin Allen and Nicole walked me through the entire process and made everything feel organized and stress-free.
We had an excellent experience with American Moving & Storage during our recent home remodel. They served as a full-service designer warehouse for us—receiving, inspecting, and carefully storing our furniture and carpets over an extended period. Everything was handled with great attention to detail and professionalism, which gave us real peace of mind while our home was under construction.
