Had a nightmare experience with this company. We appreciated them helping us move on short notice but everything else was horrible. They sent a truck that was already loaded with other items and then when faced with having to send an additional truck, they blamed us for underestimating the inventory, but they never did an initial inventory on their end so we did the best we could when giving them a verbal inventory. If we thought of anything else to add, we always contact them.
Did a good job moving my stuff for a decent price. My mattress had water damage due to their leaky truck which was the only damage. I give it them two stars because I gave them a very reasonable request to pay for the steam cleaning of my mattress, a 109 dollar service. They agreed however, I never heard back and never got reimbursed. Not worth my time to follow up. Dependable maybe, honest and a company with integrity maybe not.
Honest and dependable is a tough thing to find in Savannah. As soon as you call, you will be greeted by the owner. No automated prompts. He stays in contact with you start to finish. No waiting for a call back. Responds to texts right away. The movers were super kind. The move took MUCH longer than we had agreed to. I didn't have all that much stuff to move. It was just an apartment. They took the entire day, well into the evening.
They are OK if you are desperate, which was the case for us. I gave them two stars because they squeezed our move in on short notice, which I appreciate. Otherwise they would get the lowest rating. They missed the delivery appointment on the other end of the move multiple times. Several nice pieces of furniture were damaged by them in the move.
I would give them 0 stars, but that's not an option! The movers were late two of the three days it took to move us. They cracked one of our tvs and "misplaced" some of our belongings such as an electric fireplace and a chaise that we didn't notice until after they had left. I sent the owner pictures if the cracked tv screen via email. My husband tried to contact the owner several times, various ways such as via emails, phone calls with leaving voicemails without success.
Used this company to move and had a horrible experience that was not resolved in any way by management. The movers stacked our furniture carelessly and haphazardly into a small van and caused damage to some of our expensive furniture pieces. Filed a claim as instructed by customer service and the company was unresponsive after many, many attempts to get the claim processed. Eventually gave up on contacting them. Spend your money elsewhere!
NO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I had damage during my move and filed a claim as instructed. The Company has been unresponsive to the claim after many, many attempts to get the claimed reviewed. No one will call or text me about the claim and it has been 2 months since my move. This Company and its owner does not care about their customers. I will be filing claims with the BBB and small claims court. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
We had a horrible time with these movers. They will drag out all time to squeeze all the money out of you. We had a 3 bedroom house all boxed up and no living room furniture to move. It took them over 11 hours to move to a storage unit. They never once broke a sweat till I started Lifting more than they did and saw it was time to get things done. I felt taken advantage of and would not recommend them to anyone.

Move date was 11/21/19. Prior to my move, Hamilton visited my apartment and looked at the size of my belongings in order to give me a quote...this was at no cost. He was very professional and very easy to talk to. He asked all the important questions and was quick to get back to me with a quote. On move day, he and his team were arrived on time , they were very professional and they ensured that no damages were done to the walls and fixtures of the apartment I was moving out of .
Moving is one of the most stressful things you can do but HonDep completely took the stress out of it. I called several companies before choosing to go with them. Not only did they offer me the best, most fair price to fit my budget, but I really appreciated Hamilton's personal and honest approach. I felt the most comfortable with him out of everyone I spoke to and I knew he would take great care of my belongings.
Had an amazing experience with HonDep today moving from Wilmington Island to Pooler. We had Vernard and Q as our movers, and they took exceptional care of my furniture. For me, my biggest concern was getting my couch out of my apartment, as the way my door is set up it makes it extremely difficult. When Ashley’s Furniture delivered the couch, they damaged it slightly (they sent a technician out to repair later) trying to bring it into the apartment, and took a very long time getting it into the apartment and put…
This Review is long over due.. My initial call to this company was very professional and the turnaround for return calls was within 2 hours. I had called at least 4 other places and they were all flat..with thier responses, and not willing to negotiate as I only had a small move and didn't want to pay an arm and leg. HonDep was willing to listen and offered me a better deal. I was moved in with 3 days of my called and they allowed me to changed my move in date at the last minute.
