The rating breakdown
3 of the 26 ratings in Google’s published star breakdown for Ames Central Storage are one or two star.
Worked out from 26 ratings. That is enough to publish but few enough that one more review moves it noticeably, so read it as a hint rather than a measurement.

In their own words
Dirty ,disorganized and unprofessional. This was one business located in a lrg whse. shared by up to a half a dozen smaller companies. The "moving and storage " business is the only one reviewed here. No experience with any other company located here so no reviews.
Tom, we always appreciate receiving customers reviews, we use these to help us improve our facility and service to our customers. We have remodeled 3 buildings over the last 2 years and installed individual indoor Climate Controlled Storage Units.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

Counted across the 14 four and five star reviews we have read for Ames Central Storage. A review can mention more than one thing.
In their own words
I have nothing but good things to say. Manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Obtaining a unit was quick and painless. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. It all felt very secure and well run. This had exactly what I needed for my storage needs. I highly recommend!
5 stars does not do this place justice! I won’t even bore you with the details of how this facility is super clean, well lit, uber secure, and temperature controlled at an ACTUAL comfortable temperature. Instead let me tell you about the owners Kathy and Rod. If nothing else, the fact that ANYTIME we see one of them in the facility they take time to stop ask us however thing is going and if there is anything we need is enough. However that is simply the tip of the iceberg.
Fantastic experience. Owners were quick to respond, professional, and very friendly (one even helped me load some furniture as he was passing by to do something else). Inside was extremely clean, cool, not humid, and zero bugs to be found. Can not recommend enough.
Owned by a very nice guy named Rod. He will work with you as long as you communicate with him. He even plowed where my trailer was stored when IA got hit with like 7" of snow. I recommend this storage area for everyone needing space for something!
