Used this company based on a friend's recommendation. My only hope is no one else will be fooled into using them. This company pulled a classic bait and switch on us. We moved a 1 bedroom apartment exactly 8.6 miles away. We were charged more thand DOUBLE what the estimated quote said we'd have to pay. No show I moved awhile back and completely forgot to post my review on these guys. Anyway, I had booked them to move my into a downtown apartment in Austin. I got the quote about a week before my move-in date. Seemed like a reasonable rate. I scheduled the move for early in the day because Austin gets extremely hot in the summer. They called me the day of the move and said they wouldn't be able to make it because they were double booked for another job, one that would last until the afternoon.

My husband and I had booked the Army Any movers to move our stuff into a storage unit. They were clearly looking for an excuse not to move us. They kept asking us if we were pressed for time and if we wanted to pack a little more and whatnot. After about 15 minutes of them being here, they said that they couldn’t complete the job because it smelled in the apartment like our dog. We had booked with Army Ants because they had been recommended to us and they had the best pricing.
Blocked my driveway. And my trash cans so the trash didn’t get picked up. When confronted they said “someone’s driveway had to get blocked” and when asked to relocate they replied “it’s hot” incredibly unprofessional and very disrespectful. Claimed they didn’t know it was trash day even though every house had their cans on the street. Just a general lack of respect to everyone on the street. Don’t use them
We are sorry this happened to you. Moving can be stressful to not only our customers but sometimes neighbors as well. Our trucks can be a little big for some streets but we should have communicated better with you when blocking a driveway. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
My wife and I are completely satisfied with the movers, they were quick, efficient, and professional. However, our beloved tower fan was damaged and we were told the company would replace the fan. This was back at the beginning of April. We’ve yet to receive our fan. We’d like our fan, if we need to pick it up we are more than happy to.

I came back to say this again. We used these guys 10.5 years ago, the owner was there packing us up for our move to Houston. All they did was pack and load our own trucks (We hired movers in Houston when we got there). There were meticulous, cared for our furniture and items like it was their own. I can say we arrived to Houston from Cedar Park and our stuff was still in place, and wrapped up.
I have hired many moving companies and I have to say Army Ant Moving Company is by far the BEST! We are a business and they stream lined the move no matter what came up to meet our needs. They went above and beyond to take care of us. The employees are professional, experienced and work with a smile. I contacted other moving companies and they provided the most cost effective price compared to other moving companies. They provided the resources needed for a move without having to subcontract other companies.
