Not at all happy with this company, even though it was recommended by a real estate agent. Found items broken when I unpacked, a gorgeous rattan picnic basket ruined by what was a wooden box corner obviously jammed into it to make it fit, two rugs totally missing, and a heavy leather rocker/recliner packed ON TOP of a wicker chair. I mean, how stupid can one be?! A large sliver of wood taken out of a kitchen chair, and two doors that will no longer close nicely on a large breakfront.
I was charged $771 for packing services, but the experience was highly unsatisfactory. They failed to show up on the scheduled day, only informing us after we had taken time off work to be home, and just after we gave them a call. Shortly after, a driver called to pick up the items despite no packing having taken place. I notified the company, instead of them coordinating with the driver and us.

The move from hell. I'm familiar with moving, I've moved from New York to California and back, without significant problems. Greater Syracuse Moving and Storage couldn't even get my furniture out of the house without damaging 9 pieces. They didn't follow the North American guidelines, they didn't wrap the banister and handrail, and they didn't wrap my furniture before moving it. My Stickley now has white paint from the banister.
DO NOT USE: Had them move items from my previous home I was selling to another location I own. They didn't organize the items, just left them where ever they felt like. I couldnt even walk into the room they left it in disarray. The syracuse fire dept commented on it and said it's a fire hazard and threatened to fine me told me I had to re organize it. I had them come back to get the area re organized. They were there for about a hour. Charged me.over $300. I thought they were a highly reprettable company.
We contacted the Arnoff company to help move our family 3 weeks in advance. They cancelled due to weather. Instead of rescheduling the next day we had to wait 10 days. We needed to be out of the home we were renting and needed to find another company with very short notice. I would not recomend this company especially after putting our family into a very difficult position. This is unecceptable and unprofessional
They did not perform according to the estimate, I was promised a credit by the foreman of the move team, and the company did not stand behind what the foreman promised, even by a token amount. Never again.
Expect unexpected and unreasonable charges even if NOTHING changes (dates, addresses, weights, hours). They are quick to respond to you though. I got my furnitures within their promised range of dates.

We had a great experience with Greater Syracuse Moving for our recent move from Syracuse to Youngstown, OH. Great customer service from Melissa who provided me with a ton of packing paper and recycled boxes at no charge! The crew that loaded the truck in Syracuse was very good and packed the truck well. Our driver, Chris, was able to line up a good crew on the Youngstown end as well.
