THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE. We called them to get a quote on packing our house. We set the schedule for one day then at the last minute they canceled on us. So we reschedule and they don't even show up. When I called to complain there comment was well you live in one city and we live in a different city. What a F-ing joke of a company. The only good reviews they have, must of been written by friends. Never use this company ever, they are extremely unprofessional and don't know what the hell they are doing.
I got a binding agreement and was to be called back “in the next day or two” (that never happened). I called back myself and my binding agreement went up only a mere $2000. I had a very small load going to Florida and they were able to fit me on the truck with another couple heading that way. When I questioned why my estimate went up so much, I was told the couple cancelled.
Typically we try to keep certain customers information private. The poster is D##d B##so of Auburn NY. He is being investigated for child molestation of a 7 year old boy. Because we know the family of this innocent child, we refused to make his last minute move to Florida.
Hard for me to rate their service, since I was told they'd call me back for a quote three times over a three week period and no one ever called. When I finally got someone on the phone, we scheduled a meeting time and nobody showed up. In the end, I hired a company out of Syracuse. EDIT: Yes, I'm positive I was calling Reliable Movers.
Are you sure you were calling our company? The phones are answered 7 days a week. In fact I just booked at move at 8:30 pm today. All walk through estimates have been completed on time or rescheduled to a better time if a move delay has caused a conflict.
Forgot the mirror to the bedroom dresser and a floor lamp, and got dirty hand prints on my light colored couch. Management offered to have it cleaned, then never heard from her again. They almost forgot the bed frame and I had to remind them( and they still missed the mirror). Expected better for $1100 for a small local move
Thank you for your feedback. We’re truly sorry for the missed items and any inconvenience caused. While our crew did offer to have the couch professionally cleaned, pictures were not received from you, we regret not following up as promised—that’s on us.
These people have blown me off 3 times in 4 days without so much as a courtesy call to let me know they aren't showing up. I had to call them each time, after over an hour of waiting passed the time scheduled. Do. Not. Call these people. Because they are definitely not "Reliable!"
I wouldn’t have given them 1 Star. BEWARE of this Moving Company! It took me one year to retrieve my belongings back. I had to Hire an Attorney. And I WON! Horrible, Unprofessional Company Arlene
The customer is notorious for scamming moving companies. The customer lied 6 times about her inventory during the 3 month period prior to loading, including calling her the night before to verify she completed her packing and inventory was still the same.
I did not even want to give one star, but you have too. What an ironic name for this company, I would call it Unreliable Movers. Ethics and reputation steer me away, Stay Away!
Jana Perry is a fake name. The secretary of a doctor I used in Syracuse posted this in retaliation because of a bad review I left. Please click on the name Jana Perry and you will see she is advertising for help in the office.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

Reliable Movers Google Review January 11, 2025 This is the second time I have hired Reliable Movers to assist moving family household items. Both times the staff was on time, worked as a team, careful with our property and responsive to requests during the move. The move on Wednesday December 8th, 2024 went smoothly despite the challenges that day. Syracuse weather was windy, cold, snowing the night before and through the day of the move.
Thank you for your business and amazing review! If you should need further services feel free to call. Jen Reliable Movers
Our first time ever hiring movers as we have in the past relied on family and friends. Should have done this sooner. It was so easy. Crew showed up on time and were so professional. They handled large items with ease and were very careful with all items. There were no hidden costs and price was very reasonable. Other companies were quoting by the hour and were very vague about potential final price. Highly recommend this company.
Thank you for the wonderful review! If you should need any services in the future please feel free to call. Thanks Jen Reliable Movers
Today I had reliable movers move me and my family of 6 from a 4 bedroom apartment into our forever home. I was scheduled for a 9am move and they showed up at 830 which was prefect. Mike, Jay, and jose had my entire life packed up and loaded in under a hour and unloaded into our new place in less than a hour. All three men were very kind, helpful, and gentle with everything that I own. Anything that they had to take apart they reassembled, and they put everything exactly where it needed to go.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with us! Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we look forward to assisting you with any future moves! Jen Reliable Movers
Originally I had hired another moving company and gave a deposit. The night before the other movers called a cancelled our move saying their truck was broke down. At 8pm at night my wife and I struggled calling movers and getting answering machines and services. At 9pm I called Reliable Movers and actually talked to the owner. His wife Jen booked our move for 1pm the next day and we hoped and prayed they would show up their price about 400.00 less then quoted.
Thank you for sharing your fantastic experience with us! Your recommendation holds great significance for us, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to assist you with any future moves.
