Worst customer service experience. I didn't even get a chance to book a move. Called multiple times without any help. After a day and a half trying to get a hold of a "Suzette" I called and tried to book a move with ANYONE there. The guy was rude and short. After I learned they only had 13 foot trucks and said that it wouldn't fit through the 7 foot garage entry, he said in a snarky tone "Oh, well best of luck to ya!" This is my first time attempting to hire movers ever and was in dire need of help moving, they…
Disappointed in not only the service but the follow up resolution to our experience with Around the Block Moving. The two movers that were sent were nice, but didn't seem very knowledge or capable to complete the task. They applied tape to finished surfaces of multiple pieces of furniture instead of using cellophane which then damaged the furniture. Additionally they broke several drawers on dressers and chests after they were told they should not be removed. They were removed and broke the slide guides.
Around The Block Moving dishonestly charged me $100 for a move they DID NOT even start! When I phoned, I was in a panic because my the morning of my move day, my previously booked movers, Legend Movers/A-1 moving company, stated they didn't have me on the books for my move, even though they had sent me an email confirming the move the night before. Around The Block Moving told me they could accomodate me that day and asked for a $100 deposit that would be fully refundable after they moved me.
Amira- I personally booked your last minute move. I stated that the $100 deposit was applied toward your move total, but as you stated, we did not move you. When I … More
Worst experience ever!!! I called this company for my move and was extremely pleased with the price so I scheduled my move. Today comes and it’s time for the move but NO movers. I called and spoke with a manager by the name of JEROME. He informed me that the move was scheduled for the wrong day. I explained I had to move today! Jeromes response was “I don’t know what to tell you”. Never apologized for this company’s mistake! He actually made an excuse saying the “31” and “1” were mixed up in regards to the date.
Wrong company we do not have a person named Jerome that works at this company.
Just a phone call to speak with them was a terrible experience. They don't do bigger moves and despite the attempt to discuss a split options, they continued to decline business. They then call back to harass upset customers. Not professional.
Reserved my move 3 weeks in advance and they even called a few days before to confirm. On the day of my move, no one showed up or called. I called to see where they were and they said they couldn’t start the truck. I said fine, send the …
Please do not use this company; you just cannot rely on them and they are very unprofessional. I had a reservation for 12-1, but they just did not show. I called and Suzette said the office forgot to write it down, and had me at 3-4. …
Worst company ever they lie about their pricing and even charged my card after leaving my place and then wrote in what they charged to me. Movers were great but the managers are crooks

I recently used this moving company for my home move, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The entire team was professional, courteous, and incredibly careful with all of my belongings. They treated my furniture and personal items as if they were their own, taking extra care to protect everything during the move. What impressed me most was how conscientious they were throughout the entire process.
Holly- Thank you so much for the wonderful 5-star review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that your recent home relocation was such a positive, stress-free experience from start to finish.
I hired Around The Block Moving when I moved from my third-floor apartment to a townhouse in Plano. I was worried because I had a heavy sectional sofa and a lot of fragile kitchen items. The crew showed up right on time, wrapped everything carefully, and carried everything down the stairs without a single complaint. Nothing was scratched or broken, and they even helped place the furniture exactly where I wanted it. The whole move felt much easier than I expected, and I would gladly use them again.
Randy- Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Moving from a third-floor apartment to a townhouse comes with plenty of heavy lifting, and we are thrilled that our crew made the transition to Plano so smooth and stress-free for you.
We had another amazing experience with Around the Block Moving! The crew was incredibly friendly, quick, and efficient from start to finish. They handled everything with care and placed items exactly where we needed them, which made the whole process so much easier. On top of that, the pricing was very fair—no surprises, just great value for the service provided. This is exactly why I will always choose a family-owned business over a big corporate moving company. Highly recommend!

Rick, Jeffery and Xavier (please forgive is I got the names wrong) were exceptionally nice. They called ahead and were able to arrive an hour earlier than expected. They were professional, courteous, friendly, worked hard and fast. All furniture was well cared for, arrived with no damage and they set everything up as I requested. The move went smoothly and I was moved in no time. The staff at the office I spoke with were equally professional and helpful.
Jan- Thank you so much for the wonderful 5-star review! We will definitely pass along your kind words to Rick, Jeffery, and Xavier. Our crew always strives to be as efficient as possible, so we are thrilled they could call ahead, arrive early, and get you safely moved in no time!
