In their own words
They FAILED to deliver on the date they promised, damaged my furniture, lost multiple boxes, and charged me 60% more than the estimate. They failed to notified me of the actual weight/costs until I chased the information down from them. They demanded payment (remember 60% more) before delivery, and kept my stuff as hostage until I paid. I had insurance to get a refund for going over 110% of the estimate.
Booking this moving company was the worst decision I've ever made. I moved from Ottawa to Calgary and they confirmed with me on Friday, before my flight to Calgary, that my belongings would arrive on Saturday morning at my new apartment; however, they called hours later (once I was already on the plane) to cancel the trip because one of their drivers had canceled.
Hi Elias, We are very saddened to hear this. This is not part of our protocol. Can you please email [email removed] with your Atlas registration number? We will have this looked into right away.
One of the worst companies and people I have ever interacted. For any one who gets recommended to use this company for a move please re consider your options, moving is stressful to begin with and team at AMJ will ensure it to be a nightmare. My move was done 2 weeks ago with my items damaged, exercise equipment vandalized inspite being warned and bed frame gone missing in transit. Now you can imagine what life can be on the receiving end with a new job.
Hi DK, We are very sorry to hear about these damages. Can you please email [email removed] your Atlas Registration number so that we can look into your move. Thank you
Overall my experience dealing with Atlas has been sub par. For a company that boasts some of the best customer service I believe that to be false advertising. Don't get me wrong the guys who moved everything were super professional, on time, diligent and effective. My issue stems from trying to make a claim for damaged items. I had a dining set and china cabinetthat was approximately 70 years old moved across the country and in the process there was some damage to the glass of the China cabinet and table.
Hi Greg, we are sorry about the issues with your claim. Could you please email [email removed] with your Atlas registration number? With this information we will ensure our Director of Customer service looks into this right away.
We asked one of Atlas' agents for a quote which exceeded our budget by several thousand dollars. We purged things and asked for another quote and for the most recent one, because it was too low for them, they made up lies (like non-existent delays at the border preventing them from moving our stuff (which didn't exist at all from what other movers said!) so that they could let our contract expire and we waited a month for them to tell us this at the last minute. Ugh, so frustrating.
Hi Faith, we are very sorry to hear this. Could you please email [email removed] with more information on who your Atlas Agent was? With this information we can see who was involved in your move.
Hired them to move us across the province. They kept delaying then showed up at 10 at night. The guys assured us that they labeled everything. Then it was a constant calls to them to figured out when our stuff arrived. On the day of arrival, they went to a house 5 doors down, because it had a uhaul so they figured it must be the place. What was the point of me providing a destination address? Then they literally piled everything into my living room.

I am posting this review at the request of my sister-in-law as follows - I am a recently widowed senior citizen. I am not computer literate. After 35+ years in my home I made the move from Montreal to Calgary. My furniture was damaged, items lost and I was charged for damage done by the agents of King's Transfer/Atlas. They damaged the freight elevator at my new residence as well as additional damage (i.e., spilt paint) all of which they held me financially responsible for.
Hi Joanne, We are really sorry to hear there was damaged items and damaged property from your sister-in-laws move. Can you please ask your sister-in-law to email [email removed] with her Atlas registration number and we can look into this further? Thank you
Would give 0 stars if I could! Check consumer report and Better Business Bureau! Literally every piece of furniture was damaged, electronic boxes were "missing", and there were oil stains that seeped into book boxes and on computer chair... Was moving one province over. Received a quote for 4500$, but they kept adding fees so it ended up costs 7200$.
Hi Bob, we sincerely apologize for the damages to your belongings as well as the missing items. Please contact [email removed], include your Atlas registration number and the cities you moved to and from and we will do our best to assist you further. Thank you.

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
We recently used Premier / Atlas to go from Dartmouth to our new home in Summerside. It was our first experience with a professional moving company and they lived up to that name: professional. Quote / cost: the process was simple, explained well, and had no hidden costs. Clint answered all our questions and gave a thorough walk through at every step. He was friendly and know his job very well. The final cost was lower than every other company I called.
Hi Jim, thank you so much for your review. We love the step-by-step detail you wrote showing us the actions our moving agents and teams are taking to make sure your move is a success! Enjoy your new home.
We had an awesome experience for our first move across Canada. Davian, Colleen, Jacob, Ian and one other gentleman who helped load who's name escapes me were so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, understanding and able to answer all of the questions I had. A move is stressful and moving across Canada has so many more additional stresses such as who can I trust to move my belongings safely all that way. This company made me feel comfortable from the start when Davian came for the walk through.
Thank you Cathy for taking the time to leave this wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that our team provided a stress-free and efficient moving experience. We appreciate your business and are grateful you let us be part of your cross-country move!
Our experience was quite mixed with our move from Vancouver Island to central Alberta. The company which we contracted in Victoria, is an affiliate to Atlas Van lines. They responded promptly with our estimate for our move and showed up as promised on the day of the move. Unfortunately, they seriously underestimated our volume and ended up having to call in a second truck for the overload. The first truck arrived at our destination on time as promised, however, this is where the problem starts.
Atlas Van Lines moved my household at the beginning of November/22. From South Surrey, BC to Gatineau Quebec. That was via their agent AMJ Campbell Van Lines (Vancouver). I did a fair bit of research. My consultant was Anthony. I had a container move and sold most of my furniture in order to fit into two containers. The move was around $8600 which turned out to be slightly less than estimated which was a nice surprise. All contacts with Atlas (AMJ Campbell) were very satisfactory from beginning to end.
Hi Jenna, thank you so much for your excellent review. We are thrilled to hear how happy you are from your move with Atlas and the staff at AMJ.
