I hired Burloak movers after reading their good review. The agreement was they would charge me for 7 hours maximum. There would be no charge after 7 hours. Mover showed up on time. They wanted to make only one trip so they were trying to put as much item as possible in the truck. They asked me to use my VAN to help them out by taking some stuff in my VAN.
Mr. Ahmed, We are truly sorry to see your rating of 2 stars. Perhaps best to use this medium and address your comments, in the hopes we can continue our relationship: "using your van to transport additional items" - This is not uncommon.
**Promised piano move they couldn’t deliver - poor communication from management** I hired Burlaok Movers for a two-part move that included a piano. From the start, I provided all details: weight, dimensions, photos, and that it needed to go down stairs to a lower level. The house has two separate staircases - one straight down and another with a landing. Both are standard residential stairs, actually wider than average. The first move to storage went smoothly.
I had a very concerning experience with a mover from Burloak Movers while performing my duties as a Resident Manager at a residential building. During a move, I was inside the elevator when one of their movers confronted me in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. Without justification, he removed and threw my belongings out of the elevator. I identified myself as the Resident Manager, but he stated he did not care.
Hi Ricky, We take feedback seriously, but it’s important to clarify that you were not a customer of BurlOak Movers. Our team was completing a scheduled move with the service elevator reserved through building management specifically for our client, which is standard procedure during moves.
We engaged Burloak Movers on two occasions: once for our move into a property and again for our move out. During the outbound move, the standard of service did not meet expected professional standards. The packing team demonstrated a lack of care with our belongings and did not adhere to the detailed instructions provided. Their attitude suggested a reluctance to perform the job as required.

Completely unimpressed by the attitude. Emailed for a estimate, arranged to have a rep to come by. I rush home. Shows up late! When I told him, you know your late? He high tailed it and walked away. No comment, no apology, nothing! If they can't keep an appointment, or explain themselves, best thing not to use them.

Quick, easy and professional experience with this company! Martin was very responsive for quotes, details, follow ups, good pricing too (cheaper than others). The movers were there on time, worked very quickly, wrapped things that needed to be wrapped, were very polite too. One of the guys was actually running with boxes up and down the alley where we couldn’t get trolley in. Those guys are amazing! Highly recommended!

We were referred to Burloak Movers from a friend who had recently used them. We called, spoke with Martin and he said that he would come by to see what needed to be moved and then he would send us a quote. We had 2 other companies come by the house and quote as well. The other 2 companies had quotes that were outrageous - so expensive. We moved from Oakville to Paris, ON (40 mins away). We decided to move forward with Burloak Movers.
My wife and I hired Burloak Movers when we moved from Burlington to Chatham. Emil did a thorough walk-through before providing his estimate. Unlike other quotes I received, Emil gave me a flat rate vs hourly which I appreciated since it was 200km+ move. Emil called the day before to confirm that we were ready and told us that his team would be at our place at 9AM the next morning. They arrived on time and within 2 minutes they were loading the truck. The 3 movers were very polite, friendly and professional.
