In their own words
This was the second time I used this company, I was happy the first time. Second time was a disaster. They came with two men, one man basically did most. This caused what I thought made the move take longer than should've. Which meant more expense. They damaged a leather chair which was like new, wasn't sat in 10 times. Scraped a patch of leather on the front of chair. They claimed it was old and wore out. Broke a wheel off of hamper. Scratches on TV stand.
Moving into a high-rise apartment building requires 1 mover to bring items from the truck to the elevator so there is someone close to the truck at all times. The 2nd mover brings items from the elevator into the apartment.
I left message on the website & voicemail. Bob told me he was not available on the weekends so he emailed. I called back on Thursday asking him to call me but his email told me he was away until next week. He told me that he only had a 2 man crew not 3 in the 1st email & could not do a morning on Sept. 3oth but only an afternoon in the second email. I wanted to speak with him with questions but since there was no verbal communication I left word that I would move on.
Hello Carol. A 1 star rating because we were only available in the afternoon and not in the morning for the end of the month. That's a bit harsh especially because we were available on your requested date and the end of the month is the busiest time for movers.

I found these guys from a recommendation of someone who has used their services in the past. What a great find. The guys were great. They communicated in advance, showed up on time, they were careful with our furniture and the price was exactly as quoted. I will absolutely use them again !

I first came across Bauer Moving at a Senior Living facility where I worked as a Caretaker. I noticed how efficient and friendly the workers seemed to be. After approaching Bob Humphreys (the supervisor) about contacting me for possible future business, he gave me a company business card and I called him. He was very polite and helpful on the phone so I decided to schedule a move for my elderly mother to a Senior Living facility.

Bauer & Son are truly a family business! We had the pleasure of having them move us from our original home to Brockport Patio Home and then 7 years later to our new home in Hilton! Bob and his son Jacob could not have been more thorough and considerate of how they moved our things. Bob was contacting us from our first call forward to understand our needs! We had them for several hours but they moved us in one trip! We felt confident and comfortable having them help us with a most stressful event!

I highly recommend Bauer and Sons Moving ! The team “Bob and Jacob” really have it down, they are so efficient and professional. This is the 4th time my family has used this company in the last 25 years and if possible, every time they get even better!!! This time they we’re combining households - big items of furniture, with a stop to a storage place also. Watching Bob and Jacob pack that storage unit was like watching them put together a crossword puzzle - every nook of the storage unit is expertly packed.
