BBX Moving

The Bungo Box program itself is great. The staff are very friendly and personable. They try their best to accommodate you and are very flexible in working with your schedule for pick-up and drop off times. The moving companies that they use is another story, it is definitely a sub-contract despite what the company says. I made the mistake of hiring their movers.

Used Bungobox twice and they were honest in their pricing back then but my most recent attempt to use them, they tried to convince me that I need to pay a $60 delivery fee for being out of area PLUS ANOTHER $60 for pickup. Having used them twice before, I know that's not how it was and frankly $120 for delivery/pickup is ridiculous. The customer service rep told me that the system sometimes doesn't recognize that the pickup area is out of their normal service area for so they would manually add it onto the quote.

I am not one to leave a negative review usually but I have to share my very NEGATIVE experience with the BungoBox team (for whatever it's worth). I have used these guys few times now and they really disappointed me this last time...we had scheduled to use their movers over a month ago and they cancelled on me last minute.

I had high expectations for BBX Movers, but they fell short. The truck broke down, causing stress and delays, and we had to step in to help with the move. The movers’ experience levels varied, resulting in mixed service quality. We also had damage to our standing desk and scratches on the walls. The sales manager was not helpful during the breakdown. Overall, while we thank them for the move, it was a disappointing experience.

Horrific experience. DO NOT hire these movers and especially don’t work with Feris. They sent the wrong size truck to my move. The movers repetitively were in contact to Feris to let him know that the truck wasn’t big enough to which Feris replied “make it work”. When time came to catch the ferry a third of my stuff didn’t fit into the truck. I stressed to the movers that I needed the truck that they had already packed to be on the ferry for which they had a reservation (reservations were sold out for the day).

I hired BungoBox for a one bedroom/studio move recently. The movers were good and professional, especially Dominic and the trainee who were efficient and quick. Suggestions for customers: if you have anything with small wheels or hooks, make sure to tape them up for the move or else they may break. The relocation consultant Chris is friendly and is good at selling BungoBox.

Well this was a hard one to review as I have mixed feelings . The booking was seamless. I ordered reusable boxes which were reasonably priced. I was quite happy with the whole booking process. Now for the actual move, well what can I say it was probably the longest move for a 2 bedroom condo . The move took more than 9 hours even with the 35 minute drive to Cloverdale . In fairness not all their fault but they spent 3 hours too long just trying to get the electrical couch out of the place .

We paid packers to carefully pack and label everything for where it was to go in the new place and ended feeling like these were ignored.The movers put everything everywhere in a haphazard way. It took us ages just to sort everything to the right place. My husband gave them a tour when they arrived and told them which room was which - the beds still almost ended up being set up in the wrong rooms.
