Becker Movers

I booked Beckers to move my 3-bedroom, 2-car garage house at the end of October 2023. I was told I'd get a call the Saturday before the move to know what time they'd arrive Monday, never got a call. They sent 2 movers that had little urgency on the job, which ended up being costly for me. They basically decided when they would end work, so not everything was completed.

We used Becker Movers for both our move and storage. I want to be fair and say that I thought the actual moving crew did a good job overall. Unfortunately, our experience with the storage portion and the follow-up afterward has been very disappointing. After getting our belongings out of storage and settling into our home, we realized that several items were missing.

Be sure you are explained about liability for your goods! Becker Movers moved and stored our entire household goods last May and returning to our new home the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Customers need to understand what New York State allows movers to get away with reducing their liability for you goods to paying you .30 per 100 lb, of weight for your goods.

The movers never bothered to show up and when I called the office I was treated very poorly.. Not once but twice. When I inquired why they didn't show up they nonchalantly told me they were still busy with the other job they were on and their phones didn't work. The second time I called I spoke to another person and commented about how rude the first person I talked to was, instead of an apology I got "no he wasn't I'm sitting right here".

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worst experience ever. Was quoted 900 it ended up being 1800.00. They scratched up my walls in my old and new house to the point where i had to hire painters to come in and repiant a lot of walls and trim. We unpacked everything and found a lot of damage to our furniture. Some picture frames were severally scratched. The glass in one was broken and hidden in my new garage. They disassembled things then lost the hard ware for them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I used them before moving from one house to another with no problems. BUT-in November our house sold quickly and the people wanted in within 3 wks. We packed up the house hired Beckers to move us and store our belonging. Then in April we moved into our home. I am very fussy about my home and belongings. Beckers told they wrap everything. NO TRUE. I had one of bookcases comeback with mud all over it. My loveseat had dry wall all over it.

We used Becker's Movers to move our furniture to our new home. The person we initially spoke to was very nice and professional. The movers showed up on time on the day of the move. They worked hard and moved all of our belongings to our new home, but they failed to lay any tarps down on our brand new carpet and got mud prints all over the carpet. They told me to just call the company & they'd take care of it.

I will never go with Becker again. Please be aware that this company does NOT stick to their word. I very rarely write reviews but for this experience felt it was necessary. I moved from a one bedroom apartment into a small cape home and from the start there were issues. The two men that showed up were literally coming off a stretch of two 12 hour shifts in a row and they had just moved a huge house right before they arrived.
