The most horrible moving experience of my life was with Bennett Moving. When I first wrote this review James Bennett contacted me and said he would make things right. A month later he has accomplished nothing and this critique is going back up on the web. Here is what happened. On Friday, December 20th I used Bennetts to move from Elizabethton to Gatlinburg. This turned into an experience of broken Antiques and items, nosy movers and laziness.
I shared a review when I moved on 4/24. I called, left messages, and emails after the move but no response. However, they did respond to my review. They initially sent too small of a truck and had to remove my furniture and sit it in the …
Dishonest. Rude. Careless. In February 2020, the owner came to my parents house in Johnson City and grossly, and I believe deliberately, underestimated the cost of moving my belongings to a storage facility in Johnson City. I hired the …
We have no record of doing a job for anyone with your 1st or last name in the last 5 years. I think you may have us confused with someone else.
Daughter moved approximately 6 miles , from one side of town to the other. less than 1 full truck load. furniture and boxes. (no appliances, or heavy items, a small safe that the lead guy strapped to a dolly and moved by himself) Everything that needed boxed was boxed and ready to load when they arrived. They wrapped every furniture item even after being told they did not have to, and still scratched the top of a cedar chest that has been in my family for over 100 years., estimated 2-4 hours for the move.
Customer satisfaction and safety are our biggest priority. We apologize that our safety protocol interfered with your moving experience. We do wrap all furniture with moving blankets. As the items are carried in the blankets are carried … More
Worst experience of my life. I’ve never used movers so my realtor recommended this company and I read the reviews which were good so I thought it was a good choice. The short version is I called prior because I hadn’t got everything packed and since I never used movers I didn’t know if I should reschedule but I was told they would help pack and take care of everything to get me moved on schedule (which I wasn’t and was literally homeless one night).
We value your feedback, and agree your move was challenging. It would have been in everyone's best interest to reschedule for when you were packed up and ready,or if you had booked us to do the packing to start with, however the contractual … More
I was. NOT satisfied. I was told before booking that the movers would wrap my dressers with a plastic wrap so drawers wouldn’t open and use moving blankets or some cardboard to protect my pieces. When unloading one whole box of moving blankets were not used. Some of my wood pieces had NO blankets and were damaged. I am too tired to write more.
I used Bennetts in January so they could pull up my invoice and see how much furniture I had, how many men were used And what size truck was sent. I called for the same move only to a different location, same everything same furniture same …
We are so sorry you feel this way about your move. We thought we had a pretty good working relationship with you after the 1st 2 moves we did in January. That is why we worked you in on such short notice this time.
Nice people. Weather kind of caused some issues. They assembled our beds for us. They got everything moved in a day. Decent rates. They scratched off paint on a doorway, left furniture sitting in the rain, didn't put the clearly labeled …
We agree the historic weather we received had a major impact on your move. Our crew raced the torrential downpours all day, but the rain did catch up to us. We are truly sorry we were not able to provide you with our typical moving experience, but with the unprecedented rain fall and subsequent…

In their own words
Bennett's moving was new to me and came recommended by a local business. I needed help moving living room furniture. The price was VERY reasonable, they were professional and kept me in constant communication of when they would arrive, and the movers were careful and respectful of my home, furniture and time. This was a GREAT experience and I recommend them to anyone looking to move.
Thank you for sharing your experience with our service. We are so grateful to have been recommended to help with your move, and we look forward to helping you with any moving needs you may have in the future.
Daniel T and Alex showed up promptly at the scheduled time. They brought all the necessary tools needed to get the unload done quickly/efficiently. They made quick work of almost 11,000lbs worth of house hold goods taking care to make …
We appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we did! We will be sure to pass along your feedback to Daniel and Alex :) Please let us know if we can be of any assistance in the future, we would be happy to help.
Wow these guys hustled and did a fantastic job moving our furniture! We had two pianos and several antique pieces that were sentimental to us. They moved our entire house plus partial storage unit items. They were careful with our floors and walls and went up and down steps with ease. I would highly recommend them!
Thank you so much for sharing! We will be sure to pass it along to your crew. Please let us know if we can help with anything in the future, it was truly a pleasure working with you guys :)
This was a special delivery & concurrent pick-up/removal of a comparable item. The deliverer called ahead to tell me he was arriving at a certain time. The item to be delivered had to be assembled, and the two men knew exactly how that was to be done. They were quick, efficient, and polite.
Thank you very much for sharing your experience with our service. It was a pleasure to work with you! Please let us know if we can assist with anything in the future.
