In their own words
A cautionary tale. This was our first out of state move from Cincinnati to Charlotte. We had lots of anxiety. Mark from the Cincinnati office was friendly and professional. He assured us that we were in good hands. He told us that they had a hub in Charlotte and trucks went to and from Cincinnati all the time. That is not the case! Up until the day of inventory, everything was as promised. Our driver told us that all of our items would not fit on the truck even though an inventory was taken with Mark weeks prior.
Worst Move of the 13 moves we made. Avoid at all cost - we went with the low bid - big mistake. Packing services were unskilled resulting in significant damage. Both the loading and unloading crew were uncooperative and tried to do the minimum possible. Claim process on the goods (corporate was inflexible and inadequate) Household damage claim (wall damage) was handled fairly.
Took forever to get ahold of someone and when I did she didn’t end up responding until almost a week after my inquiry. Was on the phone with her. She was rude and just didn’t click. Won’t be using these services. Fix your customer service and maybe I’d consider it.

Delivery guy was lovely. Very nice and efficient. Unfortunately Arhaus packed up 3 chairs and delivered us the wrong chairs 2 times. It took 2 months to get 3 chairs and they are not the correct chairs. Delivery guy was so very nice but it is time to have the correct chairs.
Fireplace doors assembled backwards and I didn’t realize it til they left l. And apparently “white glove delivery” means install your own fireplace insert AND fix our incompetent assembly. Total letdown from the original manufacturing …

Outstanding service and crew both with Ohio crew and North Carolina crew. American our driver/mover was fantastic with communication and worked right along side two others. They were careful with our belongings and efficient. Two homes totally moved within 5 hours. Shout out to Cincinnati based crew Eric-driver, Hector and Luis, and North Carolina crew, Eric, Victor and Christian. None of this could have been done without Miss Shanti coordinating. She was a wonderful resource of information and beyond friendly.

We had a really smooth long-distance move with Berger Allied and can't say enough good things about the team. Getting a quote from Mark was very straightforward and transparent, and Shanti kept communication clear and consistent throughout the process — we always knew what to expect and when. The driver and moving crews on both ends were incredibly friendly, professional, and efficient, and everything arrived safely without a scratch.
