Big Orange Moving

I might never have posted this negative review had the company reached out to me, & admitted their mistake(s), but after sending them an email they never got back to me. My phone number did change, but my email was the same - & they could have replied back to the message that I sent them, after the move (similar to this review).

2024 - Ian is back at the company, saw this review and gave me an apology and asked for opportunity to make it right. I appreciated the call and hopefully they're back on the up and up. 2023 - 1 star - I'm updating the review due to my latest experience. 3 men previously moved me within the same city UP to the third floor with 1 truck in 2 trips, in the snow, and placed the items where I asked. 4 men recently moved me within the same city down from the third floor with 2 trucks in 1 trip.

Very nice clean-cut guys, but we spent TWO ENTIRE DAYS moving remaining items they left behind. The last load of the day they just closed the truck up and left without giving us any warning. Things remining included nightstands, parts of our bed, a box springs, lamps, guitar, yoga mats, wakeboards, hampers, coolers, all items they could've easily taken. I called the owner and sent him videos and photos. I gave him the opportunity to try to make up for what had transpired.

Would definately give a minus 10 if possible. The damage to my items was unforgivable. Had to leave items behind because of poorly planned packing of truck, was just told over and over again "there is no more room". Was suppose to send 3 men, but instead got 2 boys who could barely lift anything. Dropped my furniture, tore a hole in the kitchen floor and the one kid started crying because he wanted to "go home". What is wrong with this company????? EVERYTHING!!! Do not under any circumstances hire this company.

We called a day in advance (their recording says they do last minute calls). It was easy to schedule. The following day, they showed up 45 min late due to someone calling in. The movers were all young men. They would not start the job until I signed an damages charge for low or high coverage. So, I signed the lower fee. They ran into walls and door frames and were reckless. They also hit our newly renovated sheet rock/painted wall and only said something when I showed it to them.

We're both over 70; they showed up with no abilities to pack items and no tools necessary to break down items. They actually showed up in a rented UHaul truck. Our move was less than 9 miles and it cost over $2000.00. They charged us $300 dollars to move a refrigerator just because it was double door. We received no invoice, no breakdown of cost, only a "Value Damage Coverage " Contract. They changed workers three times during the day; only one was with us the entire day.

The 1 star is for management the movers deserve 5. I waited until we checked everywhere and was sure that a persian rug was missing and then again when we finished unpacking (I think that since it was rolled up that it just got mixed in with the moving blankets). I immediately texted and got one reaponse. I have texted again and again with no response. I understand things like this happen - didn't ask for any replacements or to file a claim just an acknowledgement of my loss.

Helper got stuck in front yard. Reese w/ big orange assumed it was ok until we mentioned the ruts in front yard. Softball size hole in the back of dresser. Computer desk legs broke. Bed frame legs were left on truck. Contacted regarding frame legs and was suppose to recieve them 4 days ago. Ordered new as we probably won't see the original. We used twice in the past and had à ok experience. Will do business elsewhere in future due to lack of professionalism.
