Very unprofessional. So bad to the point they moved me yesterday 3/25/26 and I’m writing a review today. First off they are con artist. Tanya in the office doesn’t have a clue of what’s going on. She quoted me a price of 500-550 dollars for a one bedroom. Really a half of a one bedroom. 635 sqft to be exact. I only had a bedroom suite, 60 inch TV and some boxes. I get an invoice for 1020 dollars??? What???
First and foremost, the movers did their job. The company did not take accountability for the inconvenience they caused me and I will never use their service anymore nor will I recommend their service. I called on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 and was told to hold a timed schedule for Saturday, April 4, 2026 there would be a $100.00 deposit that would go towards the move. I paid the deposit and received notification with window time agreed upon of between 1 pm-4 pm.
If you want a horrible moving experience - Black Hawk (DFW area) is the service for you. Hourly rates are fine unless the workers deliberately work slow. Not only did it cost more than the estimate they provided, they completely stopped working until additional fees were paid. Add to that the fact they pulled their truck off the road and driveway into my yard, left huge ruts and refused to fix to the damage they caused.
PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS AND ALL PAPERWORK CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY. My experience with Black Hawk Moving was extremely disappointing and stressful. I hired them for a very small move from my business in Richardson to a storage location approximately 10 minutes away. The drive between Black Hawk Moving in Plano and my Richardson business is also less than 30 minutes. The actual moving job took exactly 1 hour and 30 minutes. I had already paid a $100 deposit to reserve the move.
I don't leave reviews, because I have better things to do BUT...I just can't let this go. This was by far the most unprofessional, deceptive, and unacceptable moving experience I have ever had. I was scheduled for a move out of my 4-bedroom home and charged $150/hour with the expectation of a professional moving crew. Instead, ONE actual mover showed up, along with a woman the owner initially claimed was a worker. She was NOT a worker.
We charged a total of $435 for the job. This included labor for one mover (plus an assisting partner who stepped in when our team member fell ill). You booked the job as a 2-bedroom home, but it was actually a 4-bedroom house that filled an entire 26-foot truck. We did not charge $150 per hour.
Showed up with kids to move my things work very slow charged me $630 plus $70 fuel charge didn't tell me about a travel fee of $140 until they got to my house only used a half of a truck & left a lot of things that should have been moved was left at old residence now I have to figure out how to get my things lady on the phone was very rude when I tried to tell her my problem she gave me a number to contact the head owner I left a message no one got back to me very unhappy customer this is not a professional…
The total amount for this move was $630 total including fuel and no additional fees were charged. We apologize for any miscommunication and understand how upsetting it is when your expectations are not met. Here is what we understood happened.
This Company is Terrible!!! My apointmt was for 10am & they showed up at 2pm. They charged $550.00 for 7 pieces of furniture & it took them over 1& half hours to put it into my aptmt. I should have knwn, because the mgr who i booked the service through, was telling me all about her personal family issues. Telling me how she is in a fight with the State over her Trustiship. She fussed about how her father left her property & she is having to take the business to court & she talked for 30 mins.
These people are a complete joke. They broke two TVs and didn’t reimburse us not reimburse us and overcharged us for the move. Tonya is rude and unprofessional. This company needs to be closed immediately and permanently. These people are con artists. If you want to be overcharged and items broken then they are the best at that. Enter at your own peril. I would give them a 0 if I could.

We used this moving company today and honestly had a really good experience from start to finish. The crew showed up on time, worked hard the entire day, and handled our furniture carefully. I was especially nervous about a few heavier items getting scratched, but everything made it to the new place without any damage. What stood out most was how professional and respectful the movers were. They didn’t waste time, communicated well, and made a stressful move feel a lot easier.
Trust is hard to find, but you can find it here I’ll be honest: I was terrified. We were in a high-pressure situation with a literal deadline to be out of our place, and we had already been burned by other people in the past. When my husband found Tanya and paid upfront, I was convinced we had been scammed again. I was stressed, upset, and didn't think anyone would actually show up for us. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Tanya didn’t just take the job; she took the weight off our shoulders.

I had an excellent experience with Black Hawk Moving Company. Adrian and Alex were absolutely outstanding from start to finish. They handled my move from Grand Prairie to Arlington with professionalism, efficiency, and great care. They arrived on time, worked quickly without rushing, and made sure all of my belongings were handled safely. What really stood out was their dedication—they carried my sleeper sofa all the way up to the 4th floor using the stairs without any complaints.
