Bold Moving and Storage

Avoid Bold Moving and Storage and the owner, Bill. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Communication was difficult from start to finish, and it was consistently hard to get clear updates or reliable timelines. Bill changed both the pickup and delivery dates multiple times during the move process. After giving us a delivery date, my mother booked flights and travel based on that timeline.

There have been several items damaged, broken and or missing items. There was also, damage to my new home in the process of delivery and set up (as that is what I paid for). That being said, they damaged my bed and left it with the broken cross beams wrong hardware, and in some cases missing hardware. The doorways were torn up where they could not fit the furniture in the rooms. They left me with no email address, phone number and no point of contact to file my claims.

This was arguably the worst encounter I have ever had with a business. From start to finish, almost nothing occurred as it was discussed that it would. All that did happen, is our stuff arrived (weeks later than we were told) and only a few items were damaged, which is the only good thing to come out of this incredibly unprofessional and wildly frustrating chain of events that occurred over the course of several weeks.

First, let me start by saying that I am giving a one star because there are no negative stars. This is by far, the cruelest experience I have ever had in my entire life from start to finish. At first, they were very nice when they wanted me to patronize there service. However, immediately after I made a down payment they reneged on what was agreed upon. Next, thing I know, they pick up my stuff and then change the moving date, yet again.

This moving company sucks, they charge so much for being late and cause damage to our stuff , we got our stuff a week after we have been told we slept on the floor with a 3 year old , they just didn’t care. Listen to this the huge truck came to our apartment complex knowing that this is not a house what makes them think they can fit here in the narrow road, then after hours of moving around they said oh your stuff is locked accidentally in the middle of truck locked to the door lol a joke right?

Terrible customer service. The moving team was great, but the experience with the office staff was awful. I had seen negative reviews beforehand but decided to give them a chance after speaking with the sales rep — I regret that decision. The move became incredibly stressful due to poor communication and lack of professionalism from the office side. Once our items were picked up, there was no communication or effort to manage our expectations.

I can’t tell you enough to choose another company. I wanted to like Bold so much and I am so beyond disappointed. I wish I had read more reviews and not the ones they specifically send. So much damage. The movers that packed me, what a joke. $1500 extra for a full pack and they barely packed me. So much damage. 4 guys - 2 of them worked (slow but worked), 1 was upstairs hiding just watching football for two hours, and the other one was on FaceTime in the truck for an hour and then disappeared for another hour and…

There is not a chance in hell that this company’s overall rating is excellent. The management and ownership of Bold Moving are by far the worst business people we have ever been forced to endure. My husband and I hired them to move us from Rhode Island to Florida in December 2024. Our first indication that the company’s administration was inept, unaccountable, and incompetent occurred when we contacted them from Florida to finalize a delivery date.
