My move from Ottawa to Kelowna with Boyd’s Moving, through United Van Lines, cost me over $22,000. The outcome was a nightmare: • 20 boxes of goods lost • Over $10,000 worth of furniture damaged • A dismissive $500 “sorry” offer from UVL as “compensation” Boyd’s operations team is completely disorganized. They promise delivery dates they can’t meet, fail to communicate, and then blame UVL when things go wrong. UVL does the same in return, leaving the customer stuck in an endless loop of finger-pointing.

Boyd did an international move from Ottawa to France. Everything went well except 1 thing - someone in the crew is a thief.... my 28 year old whiskey bottle in a shelf to be packed, is missing from its shipping box...... just the box left on the shelf.

Good morning. I apologize for the delay as I was away. The original estimate was for 2,800 pounds (55 items). When the driver arrived he loaded over 100 items at about 3,500 pounds total. The higher weight resulted in the higher billing.

Updated: We appreciate your frustration W B and understand you are displeased. Providing us with your name would allow us to speak to United Van Lines directly (They did your long distance move, as we would have only booked and facilitated it with them since it was not a local move).

Very grateful for the excellent, friendly and professional services from Mike and Tomas. They showed up on time on a rainy Saturday morning, and assembled furniture that was sometimes a bit complicated. They stayed until the job was done and even were kind enough to move a couple of items into basement storage. I really appreciate that as I would not have managed that on my own. I have dealt with crews 3 times the size elsewhere before, and frankly, they did a better job.

We recently used Boyd Moving and Storage for our move from Quebec to Ontario, and the first half of our move was excellent. Eric, Brock, Conor, and Jesse did a fantastic job. They were energetic, efficient, professional, and worked really well together as a team. What could have been a stressful day was actually enjoyable thanks to their positive attitudes and hard work. We really appreciated how smoothly everything went and wanted to recognize the great service they provided.

Hired Boyd to move one house to another. After a terrible experience with a DIFFERENT moving company BOYD was an excellent surprise. our crew for 2 days - Eric,, Logan, Brock, Mike, & Shawn, evaluated, packed, protected, loaded, carted, moved , & unpacked out possessions professionally, courteously, carefully, all with a smile and inter-communications, like a PRO should be. All-in-all an excellent experience, would recommend to anyone looking to move, and price was no issue..
