If I could give 0 stars I would. I called for an estimate. The person I spoke to was well-spoken & seemed knowledgeable at first, although he didn't realize that he was speaking to someone who's family used to be in the moving business & knew that half of his "helpful tips" are complete b-s. However, he spent the entire conversation bad-mouthing every other moving company in Ottawa!

Need a reputable company to help you with your move AND to provide you with good customer service? Then DO NOT go with this organisation! First Rate BULLIES Inc. would be a more appropriate name for this company, but more specifically, for their management team. From my initial phone interaction with management, I found them aggressive.

Unprofessional Response during quotation: We have no competitors in Greater Ottawa and every company in the city should have lower rates than us. However, even most of the mid-range moving companies in Ottawa would still be above $175 per hour for a 3-man crew. On the last day of the month (also New Year's Eve day), those companies would likely be at least $200 per hour if not higher.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would because apparently Zack and Wes didn’t just move my stuff, they moved my entire stress level out the door too. All those glowing reviews you see? Totally accurate. Zack and Wes showed up right on time (who are these people?!), in great spirits, and immediately made what could have been a chaotic day feel… dare I say… enjoyable? They were kind, patient, and amazingly both efficient and calm…which feels like a rare personality combo in general, let alone on moving day.

Used First Rate Movers for a second time and again had a fantastic experience. Logan, Wes, Zach, Jake and Aaron were friendly, efficient, careful and FAST. They got our 3 bedroom house moved in just under 6 hours, never complained, and were upbeat the whole time. It's cool to see how a competent team operates, and my family were all very impressed. I'm hoping to never move again ever haha, but if i ever need to, I'll only use this company.

We were truly so impressed with our experience with First Rate Movers Inc.. The entire move out of our storage unit was incredibly quick, seamless, and completely stress-free from start to finish. The team onsite was exceptionally kind, professional, and efficient, and their customer service was outstanding throughout the whole process. Communication was prompt, clear, and genuinely pleasant, and they were so accommodating and responsive every step of the way.

Yep, the reviews are not lying, these guys are great. Made short work of my one bedroom apartment move downtown, super friendly and professional. Really appreciate them also having hanging rack boxes that you can use to just hang your jackets and suits without having to pack them in boxes, saves a lot of time and you can just transfer them straight out in the new place without having to unpack.
