The rating breakdown
6 of the 42 ratings in Google’s published star breakdown for Budget Movers are one or two star.
Worked out from 42 ratings. That is enough to publish but few enough that one more review moves it noticeably, so read it as a hint rather than a measurement.
Against other listings in Amarillo
8.6 percentage points higher than the middle of the 15 listings in Amarillo we can publish a rate for.

They took good care of my personal belongings and worked hard but unfortunately the washing machine connection was not completely turned off when they disconnected the hoses from where i moved out so water was left leaking all night. I had call carpet company for emergency water extraction. When i contacted Tammy about the issue she immediately blamed me stating my house must have a leak so i had to spend more money hiring a plumber to verify there was no leak in my house.
They quote you a price then when the move is over they try to sneak in extra charges for “stairs”. These bait and switch scams should be stopped!!
When I was told $60 a hour I thought woe! When asked her why so much she replied with Man U will be amazed at all what we can get done in a hour. We are professionals and u will be shocked to be honest at how great your home will look. I thought I didn’t want to go cheap bc i had already had my stuff thrown around by cheap day labor guys. I thought professional sounds fabulous. Needless to say 3 hours and 180 bucks later the 2 ladies unpacked 3 boxes I say 2 she says 3 in my kitchen .
We were hired to unpack and clean for this customer at the same time. We were told that day laborers had moved them and just threw everything in one pile in the garage which we found to be true when we arrived. The boxes in the kitchen were unpacked and cabinets wiped out beforehand and organized.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

Johnny, Jimmy & Jeremy are professionals! They worked quickly, were very careful with our belongings, and very efficient at stacking our stuff in the truck so we got it all in one trip. The guys are friendly & so helpful. We have used them twice now, and will use them again if we move again. Fair prices, too. Thanks!
Thanks for taking the time to rate our service Tonja!
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!! I was in a HUGE bind and Tammy fit me in at the last minute. The guys showed up exactly on time and were super nice and polite (especially for 7:30 on a Saturday morning). They moved my stuff and made sure everything was where I wanted it before they left. YOU SAVED ME! 😊 …
It’s great hearing that all of our hard work pays off! We’re happy that you were satisfied, and thanks for letting us know!
Budget Movers was a great experience. I needed movers at the last minute, no problem. Tammy who set everything up was very professional and honest. We did have to reschedule 2 times due to the weather which is completely understandable and I am happy to know they take safety in their employees. Besides that the 2 men sent out to help with my move where great, I forget their names but they were father and son. They hustled and got the job done.
Thank-you for taking the time to post your thoughts Lia!
I can't say enough good things about these guys! They are just a bunch of honest, respectful, hardworking guys. They went above and beyond when it came to our move to say the very least! We had a very overwhelming situation, but they handled it very professionally. And we could not believe how fast they worked! Not only fast, but good! I don't know what we would have done without them, they were definitely a life saver!
Thank you Susan!
