Budget Movers - Glendale

I had a terrible experience with Budget Movers and would never recommend them. Not only were they reckless with my belongings, but they also stole items during the move. Despite reminding the crew multiple times that, although we were moving out, we still owned the home and did not want any damage, they showed no regard. They caused damage to both the home itself and to many personal items. When I raised concerns about broken items I discovered during the move, they brushed it off as if it didn’t matter.

They gave me a different company to move my things a long distance.very poor. My things came damaged no response from either company. Too expensive not to get a reply. Budget says they are just the broker not the not the mover. Very poor service. I moved six months ago and still waiting on a response from them or the movers and nothing. I wouldn’t recommend them at all.

I was promised a crew of three and only two showed up. The movers themselves were rock stars but the reason I booked with Budget was that Jim, the owner, told me the cost would not exceed $700 regardless of how long it took. Shockingly, when it came time to pay the bill, I was charged almost $900. Jim simply told his mover that he didn't remember any such deal. I had gotten cash to cover the bill and a tip, but the additional fees meant I now had to use my credit card. Using my card then incurred another 2% fee.

My quote and the actual cost were no where close in range. Jozlin Chavira is the main problem, then followed by the owner Mario. My actual cost was nearly double of my estimate. I was very clear on what was in my storage unit, I was even moved up to their largest moving truck, 28’. I did not believe it would be exactly what Jozlin Chavira quoted, I gave it some wiggle room for the cost to go up, but not nearly double.

This was honestly the worst possible imaginable experience. Not only did the scheduler pretend to cut us deals the movers then told us wouldn’t be honored, Johnnie insulted our furniture and apartment, constantly threw us attitude, broke some of our items, and proceeded to mock me for offering water because I should have been “offering something stronger”. He even told my neighbor he would make the move last as long as possible because he “deserved more than he was getting for such a s*** job”.

ce with this business. We had 3 movers come out to move our stuff and they broke multiple items. I told them multiple times to be careful with certain glass pieces and they clearly didn't listen. When we were going to leave to follow the truck we saw all this broken glass behind it and realized they had broken a couple things. The movers didn't say anything until I mentioned it. They were trying to just ignore and hide the fact that they broke the glass cover to our table.

On 9/9/23 Budget Movers packed my belongings to move long distance via ABF tractor trailer. Many of my items were crushed due to negligent packing; a solid oak dining table, a dryer, a BBQ grill, and smaller items. The oak table was packed standing up with a couple boxes under it that had NO support and hundreds of pounds of boxes stacked on top. I have also never seen a dryer crushed so the drum would no longer turn (verified by a repair company), we had to buy a new one when we got there.

I am extremely disappointed in the service I received. We rented AZ budget movers for the 21st of this month. We went with them because they had a low hourly rate compared to other moving companies. We needed them to move a 3bed house. All of our stuff was packed and in the garage so it was easy for them to move. The guys showed up at the time requested (9am) and were very nice. It took them in total 7 1/2 hours to move our house from Maricopa to Avondale.
