Update: I posted this review which tom the owner apparently didn’t enjoy. He texted me (see screenshots) in what feels like a very threatening manner. I initially chose this company because Tom quoted me $220/hr for three movers with a three-hour minimum. On moving day, a fourth mover showed up—which I wasn’t told about—and I only found out I was being charged for when it came time to pay. They only accept cash, so of course I had only taken out enough for the original quote.
Called & spoke with Tom. After giving the details he stated he was waiting to hear about another job date and to call later that week - which I did - no response - 3 days later asked for a call either way - still nothing. Very unprofessional.
If you need a punctual, responsive, and speedy move, give Capital Movers a call. If you care about honesty, accountability, and tenderness with your belongings, look elsewhere. I told Tom and his crew not to move our frames if they had ANY concerns about breaking them. Minutes later I watched Tom break the glass on my largest frame as he carelessly carried it down the stairs with no protection around the frame.
Very disappointed. I was quoted one price then charged $450 but was quoted $360. I suppose it was Tom who came but he never identified himself to me. He was in a very big hurry and said multiple times he had to get to his next job. Then he wouldn't take our pictures or smaller things saying it was just ridiculous. He did not even have to move a bed, a couch or a lazy boy. There was a kid with him so I ended up giving them a total tip of $75. We still have many things to move over because they did not do their job.
Cancelled my job less than 24 hours beforehand, said they were all on vacation. You didn't know your vacation schedules until Saturday morning? Left me scrambling and overpaying for a different service on short notice. Avoid unless you're desperate or feel lucky.
I moved from Albany to Clifton Park.. They came on time two men...From the beginning only one worked the older gentleman started from minute 0ne complaining he was not feeling well..what was supposed To be a one hr job took 4 hrs ...I …
This guy moved us in 2024 and ripped us off big time. Out of the blue today he sends me a text that said "Jerk". Have no idea why. But very strange and unsettling. Beware!!!

Capital Movers (Tom) was referred to me by a friend of a friend and I was so happy with their service. Tom said he would take care of us and they did not disappoint! They were punctual and they worked efficiently but were very careful with our stuff. Tom, Meg, and Ian were the best! They were personable and fun. I highly recommend!
