I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience warrants one. The move was disorganized and much slower than expected for local, with delays caused by the crew followed by attempts to charge us for additional time. Boxes were often placed in the wrong rooms despite labels, items were stacked carelessly, furniture was left disassembled with missing hardware, and several items we specifically asked be moved were left behind even after we were told everything had been double-checked.

I am posting this, in the hopes no one else will have to experience what I went through The job took 2.5 hours with travel time and everything. At the end I was charged 4 hours of service. I was very confused. I understood there was a 3 hour minimum and that was okay. After speaking to the workers I was made aware that almost every job this happens where extra time is added. So I was put on the phone with Glenn, who was extremely rude and unprofessional.
Used these guys for an interstate move as part of a larger contract with Wheaton. Items were packed extremely haphazardly, they lost A THIRD of our stuff, and damaged the rest. We’re in the process of filing a claim, and Don’s has been a winning combination of unresponsive and unhelpful. Avoid like the plague.
Price gougers. Called today and was quoted $880 as a MINIMUM to move a STUDIO from Menands to Albany! Have fun ripping someone else off. In this economy hard working people simply don't have it. Called around after and ended up receiving a quote for $390 from another reputable competitor for the same job. Will happily be giving them my business instead

Just watched this guy come down 87 15 mph over speed limits , tailgating lane hoping and overall very unsafe and un professional. Dude was visibly angry and is a danger to himself and everyone else on the road . Do not trust these people with your belongings

I cannot recommend don’s moving. I just paid $5700 to transport 6000 lbs of goods 180 miles. Maybe that’s a fair price not sure. They rushed through the move out stage and as I was unpacking found many items broken. Dumping a heavy printer …

The one star is reflective of the friendliness of the actual movers (hourly guys). Otherwise my review would be no stars: First, the movers did wrap everything nicely and almost nothing was broken (1 small item, but it was not of value.) …

This is the second time we’ve used Don’s and we would never use anyone else. Matt, Mark, and Chris were amazing and genuinely happy to help us move. They moved even the smallest of things to any room we wanted and were so polite and helpful from beginning to end. Even in the summer heat, they never stopped offering to do more for us. These three guys worked so hard and quickly and efficiently and carefully, everything was placed down gently and wherever we wanted.
Outstanding movers. They were on time, efficient, and wonderful to work with. I was impressed with how carefully they handled all of our furniture and boxed items. Highly recommend!!!
The gentleman from Don’s Movers were personable, knowledgeable, professional, and they moved my furniture as if it was their own. They are fantastic representatives of the company they represent. I would highly recommend Don’s Movers.
The best moving company ever!!! The three gentlemen - Josh, Dave and Arsenio were absolutely lovely and worked seamlessly to help my mom move into her new home. Highly recommend!
