Stay Away – Unethical Billing Practices I hired central Coast Moving Co. for a small, local move. The crew showed up at 8:40 AM and we were completely finished by 11:00 AM — just 2 hours and 20 minutes total. This includes loading, a 35-minute drive, and unloading. But then I received a bill for 4.5 hours, claiming it was because of double drive time.

I had a very disappointing and terrible experience with this company. They charged me nearly double the estimated amount. Unfortunately, it seems I’m not the only one , this has reportedly happened to several other customers as well. Many locals were aware with that and I wish I talk to those people before and had read the negative reviews before confirming the booking. I hired movers from this company to load a truck from a small one-bedroom unit.

The company Central Coast moving contacted my small moving business located in the Central Valley and requested for a couple of guys to go out and help his company with a move on December 10th I sent three guys two hours one way to help for a couple of hours he had paid partial and still owed $140 and i had informed Daniel that there was a remaining balance of $140 for work provided and he confirmed he would settle up the difference the next day but then would not reply to any of my messages a couple months go by…

I recently used this moving company for a move from Santa Maria to Lompoc, and it turned into one of the worst billing experiences I’ve had. The sales department quoted me around $2,500 for the move earlier. After the job was done, I was surprisingly billed over $2,900—all because the move went about 15 minutes over the estimated time. What was never disclosed to me was that the move was billed hourly, and that even going over by just 10–15 minutes would result in being charged for a full extra hour.

This company was complete chaos ! Jay did a site visit, explained the contract - we both agreed to a fair price. Then Austin sent his crew a day earlier than we had planned with Jay. Austin stated he was Jay’s boss! We let them come, and soon learned there was zero organization so the job went into three days. I hired two more men to help, who were awesome. Austin, I learned was the owner, He was aggressive and rude, especially to his men. The workers tried hard, Austin was rude to them, no human side to Austin.

They were very careless with my things. They broke a lot. Some of the things they ruined was my sons things and things my son gave me which cant be replaced because my son passed away 2 months prior. There were certain things I told them not to touch that I would take care of and next thing I know they were gone. I definitely dont recommend Central Coast Movers. In the end they paid me a lousy $250. I had to rent a uhaul and move things by myself they were supposed to take.

Truck show up at destination! Too many things left behind! Gave very specific instructions to all four yet not one of them listened!!! Brought things I specifically told them NOT to!!!!!so many items left behind. Took pictures of back of truck when a much more attentive crew showed up. Happy with the unloading but not with the loading crew!!!!!pictures broken. Clothes just dumped in to a big box !!! My wife and I are just livid to say the least.

Quoted $995 for 3 bedroom job moving 2 blocks. Charged my card $3060 total. Had to cancel my card to stop the continued charges. Movers were nice but slow. Dripped oil all over my concrete. The workers admitted that the office routinely …
