I’ve heard this was a good company to work with but unfortunately I never got to find out for myself. I called back about a quote for a move and Scott was very short on the phone and scoffed and laughed when I mentioned it was local. I get that they don’t do local moves during the summer (not the the site mentions that anywhere, plus I mentioned when I messaged for the quote that it was local), but being rude towards potential customers is not the way to conduct business.

Team arrived at 8am but charged me from 745am. Didn't start working til 815a and I was billed for their 30 min lunch break. At $160 per hour for 3 people, that makes a difference. I got refunded for that but once I moved my bed around 2 weeks later, I noticed that my bed slats were not screwed back into place and one of them was broken. Couldn't find the screws and some guy called me back with an attitude quoting $.30 per pound. Bed still isn't fixed almost a month later.

Very recent packing and moving experience with Champion Moving across 500 miles. The men who came for packing (Nick and John) did the most sloppy and unprofessional job I have ever seen on several moves. They did not pack everything that needed to be packed, dumped the shoes in a box without wrapping them (see picture attached) as someone would throw them in a garbage bin. They dumped the dresses in a box instead of using more closet rack boxes and my unused dresses came out crumpled.

I read such good reviews about this company. I needed a local move and to use their storage facility. The first time I talked to Scott, he seemed helpful even though he was yawning during our conversation. I gave him various dates we could use and he said he would get back to me. After a week, I called the office to speak with him and the secretary (very polite and friendly) told me he had left the office but she could contact him and he would call me right back.

This is in regards to a cross country move in 2021. Didn't wrap any of our furniture in blankets, broke a laptop in the move, and delivered everything one month late despite calling them almost every day and being told that they would take care of everything. Very rude and unhelpful manager. Use another company and save yourself the hassle.

They cost more than my local shippers but they stated they could move my furniture and safe. Although they knew the exact dimensions of the safe, their team came totally unprepared. Ultimately, they couldn't move the safe to my new home. Their furniture moving services were sub par. I would not use them again.

We recently moved interstate, from Roch., NY to the Burlington Vt. area. We contacted Champion based on recommendation from a neighbor and we were not disappointed! Brendan came to our home to review our house contents and provide an estimate. He was pleasant, cordial and clearly had a good deal of knowledge about the moving business. The estimate provided was very fair.

I have used Allied in the past, so I called the local Allied affiliate when I planned to move again. I was unfamiliar with the local affiliate. The local contact was very good to deal with -- she had answers to all my questions. The company sent a rep out to look at what I was shipping, and he gave me a "not-to-exceed" quote. I did not know my actual move date at that point and Champion was helpful in telling me about how seasonality affects charges.

These people are the absolute best. I have used them twice in the past year. Once for a move from Rochester to NC and once for a local move for my daughter. Experience for both moves was exactly the same, phenomenal. The teams that showed up for the packing were on time, fast, and very careful with both what they packed into boxes and with the wrapping of furniture. Both times loads went into their storage with no lost or damaged items.

Champion Moving handled our move from downtown Rochester to Westchester. Christopher Carter, the owner of the company, did the move estimate himself the day we called. We ended up paying ~$100 less than the estimate he gave us so his estimate was right on point! We were making a pit stop at my parents' house in NJ to drop off some items so he worked out the estimates using a couple of different scenarios (interstate vs. intrastate move) to make sure we'd get the best pricing.
