Great the first time we moved with them, but today was terrible. The movers themselves were very nice and took good care of the furniture, but they ended up being late, and the owner was unprofessional. They showed up at 3:55, after we agreed to 2:45 on the phone. To matter maters worse, at the end they claimed they arrived at 3:30 and that that was the time we agreed to. They then tried charging us for an extra half hour.
We had a terrible experience. The business owner, while driving, took notes about our inventory that were completely wrong, and it took the movers 4 hours, just to vacate a 1b1b apartment! Because of the miscommunication we had to pay late …

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Trel, Jesus, and Chris! I hired them on recommendation from our storage facility to do work for our condo building. From the moment I spoke with Danny at Marathon Movers, i knew we picked a quality company. He replied immediately, answered all my questions, and calmed any concern with, "Don't worry. We got you." We had extremely heavy planters to move and they had all the tricks and tools to move them quickly. They also helped us move a bunch of furniture.
Chicago marathon movers did an excellent job moving a lot of stuff out of and then back into two large and quirky Chicago apartments with a lot of stairs and tricky layouts to navigate. Nabor, Josh, and Rick were very friendly, pleasant to coordinate with, and went above and beyond making sure all our belongings stayed safe (even when we had packed some of them quite badly). They were highly efficient, even when the amount that needed to be moved took from ~10am-10pm.
I'd absolutely hire and recommend Chicago Marathon Movers again, even with them being three hours later than planned. Danny was in communication with me the whole time though so I knew they would be late, they were quick, and they handled my move with care. Add to that their prices were much more reasonable than their competitors for the move and they get a 5/5, even with the lateness.
When my movers cancelled the day before my cross country Pods were set to arrive, I called Chicago Marathon Movers and Ron was a lifesaver. He was able to put me on the schedule for the next day with 3 movers. Nabor, Edgar, and Freddie were diligent workers who unloaded my 3 pods quickly and efficiently. They were careful with my belongings and thoughtful of where they placed them. Thank you Chicago Marathon Movers!
