EDIT: after leaving this review, this company threatened legal action from their lawyer! Cloverdale denies that any of the below information is true.... We moved from Calgary to Kelowna using Cloverdale van lines. To start things off they cancelled and rescheduled our moving appointment the day before, which was very inconvenient because our tenants were taking possession of our home that day. Punctuality is something that needs to be counted on when you're moving homes.

This is not a review like the other reviews, written by the owner. I work in the Real Estate industry and we recommended this company to our clients. It was a big mistake. Everything went wrong. First, they showed up and hour-and-a-half late. Next, they didn't have enough wrapping supplies, boxes, etc. Next, our client's goods were damaged. Worse, they lied about when the truck was leaving and when it would arrive at their new destination. The truck ended up being four weeks late. Let me repeat — four weeks.

Here is my experience with Cloverdale movers. This is an actual review with replies from the owner. 1. Quote for a 3 bedroom hole was 3190 dollars for 5500 lbs as you can see from the attached photos an average 3 bedroom home is between 9-11 thousand lbs. THE ACTUAL COST WAS OVER 10,000 Dollars. After over 20 years in the business you would think their estimate for weight would be more accurate. 2. Called me two hours after leaving to tell me I could be at the scale to see how much our load was.

Try get a quote from these people in advance just for entertainment value. (They won't give you one). They showed days earlier than booked. They sold me boxes to package things, but then took them when they dropped them off in the storage unit. They used my packing tape and then charged me for it! They are basically crooks. Go with a real moving company.

A terrible experience. Their quote was wildly different from what they charged us for, charged for things they said they wouldn't, unprepared for the weather / environment conditions, lost a table, worker was sick and coughing (in the middle of Covid).
Low quality movers. Stuff was broken and showed up with inadequate equipment for the move. Could not fit everything in truck (pretty sure they tried to fit 2 moves into one trip to alberta.) had to leaf valued possessions behind

It was a great experience working with Angelo and his partner during my move. I moved from Calgary to Vancouver Island. What was great about working with them is that they are quick to follow-up if you have any questions, they explain the entire process, inform you of each charge, are always punctual, and of course, handled all of my belongings with care. They were also super friendly guys and dealt with the strict condo boards well. Working with them took a lot of stress off of me during this move.

We have done multiple cross provincial moves in the last 4 years and this was by far the best experience we've had! Angelo (owner) and his colleague took great care with our things. They loaded our belongings, drove the truck to our new location, and unloaded everything for us. No transfers, no locally hired staff, they did our move from start to finish and made sure everything was packed super tightly in the truck to prevent damage. Everything arrived in one piece and we could not have asked for better service!
