I chose this organization because of the abundant 5 star reviews. Unfortunately, we did not receive a 5 star experience…. Only 2 movers showed up, 3rd one showed up 45 min late with no communication, which we were reimbursed. Movers came unprepared and did not bring a dolly, even though it was communicated that I had bedroom and office furniture. They used our personal dolly, which is now broken because they didn’t secure the pin in the handle, which caused a box to slide down a mountain and crash into a tree.

Horrible experience. I used College Hunks to move my furniture from my home into my garage while my floors were being refinished. They gouged walls, scraped and dented furniture that was not even a year old, ripped fabric on a couch that was just over one year old and left deep scratches in the floor. They would only agree to cover a small part of the damage to the couch. They sent a repair man to fill and repaint the walls and door.

Update: while the owner responded here that he will "look into it", I've heard nothing from them. I called the number he left and it went to their corporate office. They sent me a form to fill out, and all they offer is $0.60 a pound for your damaged things, no matter how nice or expensive they are. This is an incredibly careless company, who do not take care of their customers, nor provide genuine support if they ruin your things. DO NOT hire College HUNKS.

Movers were not prepared for the task. Movers dropped the heavy item on himself. They did not strap down large item on dolly. Item almost tipped over off dolly several times. Movers damaged the doorways of my brand new house. Mover was struggling so bad we had to help them complete the task. Paying $600, I should not have to step in and help movers. If I didn't have a bad back, I would have just done it myself. Will not use this company again, and would not recommend anyone else use their services.

DO NOT USE! Not only did we have a poor experience with this company, but when a complaint was raised they spoke to me in a tone that was both condescending and unapologetic. As I have read through most of the low rating posts, you can see for yourself that this company is quick to explain away their unsavory business practices.

What would moving day be without hiccups!? My place was on the 3rd floor in an apartment complex. The elevator was out that morning and the AC went out in the apartment! Eric, Nathan, and Andrew showed up on time, were incredibly professional and understanding about everything. They were very careful and made it a point to wrap all the furniture really well. The estimate was slightly under the end cost, but that was mostly caused by the unforeseen elevator outage.

My review is of the College H.U.N.K.S. Movers. My husband and I were so impressed with the team of movers. They were so polite and careful with our belongings. I felt like I had a group of my son’s friends in the house moving us! They moved a full house of furniture locally to another house. Nothing was damaged! Darian was the team leader and was very conscientious checking in to make sure any scratch he saw on furniture or the floors was not from them. He kept us constantly informed!
