** SHOCKING ** My transaction with dogwood moving company would be comical if it wasn't personal experience. To start, the job was quoted for 3 hours, but they ended up taking 8 -- understandable, manual labor is tough they scratched/scraped some of our furniture -- fine, expected ware from moving scuffed walls and chipped paint of the new place -- fine, again this is a somewhat natural byproduct of moving used the bathroom in the new place and left stains...
Two young guys (1 being a student) did our move. We were not completely satisfied with the move. I called to report it to Wes, left a voicemail and have yet to hear from him. Customer satisfaction is NOT important to them. - They forgot to pack all our kitchen knives - They forgot one leg stand of the king bed - As soon as they came in a speaker with Western music was played. - One of the movers was making fun of our items he was packing. He thought we didn’t notice but we did. That was unprofessional.
I've heard a lot of horror stories about movers, but start to finish with Dogwood was nothing but perfect. Guys communicated with us constantly up to the day of the move. On moving day they did a great walk through of what needed moved, and they handled everything with incredible care. Guys were very friendly and helpful, and the speed we knocked this out in was awesome. Estimate was 5-7hrs and they finished in 3 and change. Very efficient, would highly recommend and book again for my next move without question.
I told them I was moving out of my apartment due to environmental issues that trigger my underlying health issues. I can’t enter the unit even with a heavy duty mask without a rash coming back and asthma issues. I hired them specifically to pack and move everything. The cleaners found 7 boxes worth of left over items. They didn’t pack up the curtains or bathroom, and they packed things together that don’t make sense like why is a lone casserole dish with a large open bag of rice.

At this point, just hire friends and move yourself. Dogwood, and every other moving company, are only interested in charging thousands for the move, making you buy an insurance package of several hundred dollars, only to ruin your furniture and not take ownership of their damages. I wouldn’t bother hiring them.
Dogwood Moving Co. abandoned us the morning of the move claiming we didn't meet their standards although we had been wrapping items and packing for weeks. Had a few loose items due to having young children. This company really screwed us over.
Too damn slow! The job could been done about an hour faster, easily. Lots of side chatting and slow moving. But hey, with a flat rate, the slower they move, the more they make.

We used Dogwood Moving Co. recently and we could not be more happy with the work that they did! They were responsive, professional, and efficient. They sent a large team to our home and they all worked so hard - practically running through our home to get things loaded quickly. In our new home, they asked where to put each piece of furniture and each box, making sure everything was right where we wanted everything. They were very careful and did not damage anything. Thomas and his team were wonderful!
A great stress free experience! They made my move process smooth and easy from getting the quote to the day of the move. They walked you through the process and prepared you what to expect. After scheduling the move, there was follow up asking if assistance was needed setting up utilities, etc.. at the new residence or if I had additional questions. I liked they sent preppers out the day before the move to make sure the home was staged and ready for move day so it would be easy and effortless.
Moving across state lines is exciting, emotional, exhausting, and honestly a little terrifying at times — but this company made one of the most stressful parts feel easy. Our team — Q, Brian, Peyton, and Fai — were absolutely phenomenal. Professional, respectful, hardworking, careful with our belongings, and genuinely kind human beings. From the moment they arrived, they brought such good energy into the day.
I cannot say enough good things about this moving service. From start to finish, they made what could have been an overwhelming and emotional process feel organized, manageable, and even hopeful. I was in the middle of resetting my life — emptying out my storage unit and coordinating a stop at a house where some of my belongings were temporarily stored — and they handled every step with care and efficiency. As a single mother, moving comes with an extra layer of pressure and stress.
