College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Brevard County

UPDATE 7/27/23: Another week has passed and STILL no refund! I have emailed twice, called the local franchise office at the number below with NO ANSWER EVER. It routes to the central office and the best they can do is attempt to call the franchise office - which again, goes unanswered. Also, they HAVE my number - they could easily call me! Why not just simply return the call and refund the deposit as promised??? THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU GIVE YOUR DEPOSIT/MONEY TO THIS COMPANY. You might never see it returned to you.

We moved to Rockledge from out of state and contacted College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Melbourne to unlock our truck. We were at our house ready for them to start when they said they would be there. No one showed up, I called numerous times and never got a response. Since we were new to the area we had not met anyone that could help us unload the truck. I was starting a new job the next day and everything we owned was on a truck not being unloaded, needless to say we were furious!!

I scheduled and moved using College Hunks Melbourne in June. I scheduled them because they committed to using a lift gate truck to move heavy tool boxes and a safe. They showed up with a ramp truck and said their lift gate was broke. I can rent a ramp truck myself. The moving crew was courteous and hard working. Due to using the ramp they scratched the bottom of my tool box on the ground.

If I could give negative stars, I would. My father hired College Hunks to move him across town. The person who gave the estimate said that they would pack and unpack everything for my Dad. They arrived promptly and packed everything (more on their packing job in a minute) and loaded everything onto the truck the next day. It wasn’t until they started unloading the truck at Dad’s new residence that we noticed problems.

Had the absolute worst experience! All calls and exchanges are routed through a call center. They did not show up for the scheduled appointment. I received no notification of cancelation or delay. Additionally I contacted them 30 mins before the window and was assured the were on their way. When I called to inquire about the issue, they changed their story of why they didn’t come multiple times.

If I could give a negative review, I absolutely would. My company used them recently to move and the gentlemen that gave us a quote did not communicate with his movers/office. We got it scheduled well in advanced and when they showed up to the shop with a promise of two big trucks, we were shocked to see they had a smaller truck and ONE big truck. The guys started working and not an hour in we were hearing complaints that it was too much work and they were going to need more people.

If I could give zero stars I would, I had the worst experience on 2/22/25. My daughters highly recommended this moving company, but unfortunately for me I had worst experience. I reserved over the phone to move on 2/22/25, 1 week in advance, I was specific on what I wanted moved and what I wanted donated, I was reassured that on move day 2 separate people will come out for the moving, I was given two different times that they would arrive, upon arrival only 3 men showed up stated they will be doing both , I…

I was not pleased with my experience with College Hunks Moving Junk. When I called for pricing, I was given two different estimates for what I described as either 1/8 or 1/2 of a truck load. The representative also told me the crew would provide a quote after seeing the items in person. When the crew arrived, I was asked to sign a pre-pickup form. I asked about pricing, but was told they couldn’t provide a quote until after everything was loaded and they spoke with their manager.
