Eric Taylor (one of the "sons") is the rudest moving person I've dealt with, and I've dealt with many. I had a minimal job, one bedroom set consisting of 5 pieces, and he quoted me the 2 hour minimum. I had the cash he quoted ready to give to the driver. When the truck arrived at my house he tried to pad the bill by an extra 1/2 hour. When I objected, he threatened to take my furniture to his warehouse and I could come and get it myself. HELD MY BELONGINGS RANSOM until I paid the extra amount!
Mr Burke we apologize for anything that we said or did that upset you. It's true we sent you 3 men when you only paid for 2 and it did hurry things up. Your signed Estimate was for $357 and you paid $332. Therefore, you paid less than you expected.
Beware!!! Rude and shady owner that tries to take advantage of customers at the last minute. First red alert was him asking for a credit card for a security in case of cancellation. Unfortunately, I still went with them. Movers were nice and most worked hard. However, some seem inexperienced and several pieces of furniture ended up damaged. We have several cube storage cabinets that seem as if they’ve been dragged on the floor. See pictures. Legs that hold up a desk were ripped at the screw joints.
To our potential clients and customers: when you call our business to get an estimate over the phone we go room for room, piece by piece with what inventory you have. In short, Ms. Santiago drastically underestimated what household goods she had. On the morning of the move, she was not ready.
To make this very clear, I am leaving this review as someone who interacted with this company as a potential customer. My review is for their CUSTOMER SERVICE. I did not actually use this moving service, I went with another company. My opinion: Very unprofessional response when I asked if I could just be emailed an estimate instead of taking a call. Because I COPIED AND PASTED an email directly from them, they have gotten a lawyer involved and are threatening to sue me.
Bless Your Heart! It is hard to deal with the general public as everyone has their own opinion on how you should run YOUR business. We are not going to change our policies as they are in place for a reason.
I have never dealt with a more UNPROFESSIONAL company such as this one. The owner Eric was very rude, argumentative, and extremely unprofessional. He is VERY competitive and a sore sport. I am glad that I decided not to go with this company. It's funny how he mentioned "doing the right thing" and being legal and having insurance, many times in our conversation.
We are sorry we hurt your feelings over us being passionate about our company and earnestly trying to get your business.
I was given quotation last week from Eric over the phone. After getting some quotation from other companies, we decided to use them. However, when I called them today, they quoted $24/hr more than last week for Monday moving! Lisa said that the last quote was for middle of April and it is more expensive if I wanted to move on May 2nd, but I clearly said last week that I was thinking of moving on May 1st or 2nd. They don't work on Sunday so I assumed that the quote over the phone was valid.
Super sorry for any miscommunication here to a lady (who I must reiterate we did NOT MOVE) on pricing. Prices do fluctuate throughout the month as business permits. You are correct, we, as a privately held business have the right to, do not work on Sundays, we go to Church.
I called to inquire about a moving job I was put on hold twice and the owner rushed me on the phone and was extremely rude. he would ask me questions and then cut me off mid sentence when I tried to answer what he was asking me. He said he was to busy to answer my questions and when I addressed that he was repeatedly telling me to stop talking he then rudely and abruptly told me he does not want my business. if I could give 0 stars I would the lack of professionalism was uncalled for.
$482 for 3 guys to unload a u-haul and sedan for 55 minutes. Wife and I even helped a little. Workers were great, efficient, good humored. "Minimum 3hr policy" is needless and predatory (it was $149/hr + $35 travel charge). Probably fine if I needed 3 guys for 3 hours. But I didn't. Unless Eric/management is paying these guys $100/hr+, not a good experience for me. Uhaul-sponsored companies had quotes 200-300 for the same job. Should have picked them Got the job done (right), but waste of money
Mr. Douglas called at 6:30 on Easter Sunday night. We had a three man job scheduled for Monday morning and pushed that back to accommodate him on such short notice. Therefore, we had to send our 3 men to him.
We had three glass closet with light everything. They just cover with blanket and rubber strap. By the time I get to my location it's broke. And other cabinet door came out. Also it wasn't like movers. They were kids who get tired after moving onestuff. . They don't wrap anything , just cover with blanket. I can't recommend this to snyone
Sir, we did NOT move you. We are in MELBOURNE FLORIDA, not in Philadelphia where there is another Taylor & Sons affiliated with U-Haul and Mover Helpers. PLEASE take the bad review down as we were NOT the moving company that did this! This hurts our good reputation.

In their own words
I just used them to move my dad into an assisted living and they were awesome. On time (early even!) and had my dad set up in his new place very quickly. They were careful with his things and very professional. We used them three years ago to move and they were awesome then as well - which is why we used them again! Eric (the owner) was honest and helpful and communication was excellent.

Absolutely great. I've used them twice now and both times they exceeded expectations. Punctual, no surprises on the bill and very hard working. I recently had them put my belongings into 2 storage units and they will absolutely get my business when it's time to move into a new house. Excellent in every way. Fair prices, dependable, honest. Wish more businesses were like these guys. Edited just to say I used them a 3rd time in November and the crew was great as usual.

On Monday June 8, 2026 I had a crew from Taylor and sons come to my house in Mims FL to move us over to Beverly Hills Fl. Moving is an emotional drain on the people relocating. So many concerns, so many memories being left behind. Then there’s the concerns that it all goes well. Nothing gets damaged, nothing gets broken or lost. It’s usually a mess. Prior to my June 8 move, I had been gathering things and putting them together in the house.

It all begins with the initial phone call. I called to get an appointment to have someone come out to give an estimate and the receptionist was so well spoken, polite, professional and answered all my questions. Once the appointment is set, they come out, review all that will need to be packed, and an estimate is given to you in less than 15 min. We asked for two estimates, us doing the packing and them doing the packing. We personally found it better if they did it all.
